I use vaniilla beans in all the pastries I can use them and the flavour does not compare. You boil the bean in a little milk  cut it open and scrape the pulp out..It is delicious. The volafores are not all canilla growers sl you have to ask..The ones I buy from.do grow vanilla and process it..i doubt they use artificial vanilla but it is not cheap... Why anyone would buy at costco  or sl over the producers of vanilla is beyond me..

I think you mean pure vanilla extract instead of imitation flavored vanilla because isn't all real vanilla basically an extract cause they have to extract the essence from the beans. Its not like you can just squeeze the pure vanilla juice out of the beans as you would an orange, it doesn't work that way.

I was wondering about that myself. I like a brand of vanilla called Orlando, which is organic. It lists purified water, cane alcohol, organically grown vanilla beans, natural vanillin, and vegetable glycerin as the ingredients.
