Widesky, I'm sure it's there but couldn't find it.

Also, on top of the cost, I'm sure there is a fee for the consultation and the report.

No, all inclusive. Just make sure you are going to a lab which specializes in your condition. Probably Guadlajara since most of the specialists here are from. Ask your cardiologist. Dr. Hector from Quality Care is the best we have around here. Not suitable for nickel squeezers though. As he did with me, he can pick an artery, and send up a camera to your heart. Wont hurt, inside of veins there are no pain nerves.

Chillin;

I was looking for a CT scan which can find a major lesion. This is totally non-invasive, but is not as accurate as a P.C.I.

You are speaking of a P.C.I. (formerly "Angioplasty").

I recently learned the hard wt why there is little to no accountability for doctors in Mexico.

I will check out Dr. Hector. IMO, always best to have a second opinion anyplace.

Thanks for your input.

To a certain extent we all have degrees of coronary calcification. But I don’t know that a CT scan will give you the information you need to know whether you problem is significant and requires surgery.

There is a coronary calcium test which some doctors use to determine if you need further tests. My doctor has suggested that I have it done but I refused. I figured it would just give him an excuse to run up my medical bill.

I must have imagined the pain from 5 stent placements in the arteries of my heart and an extra angioplasty.

My last CAT scan at SAT included the written diagnosis by the Radiologist for a little over $5000p. If I were you I would see H. Bresino to see what you need diagnost and  what method. CAT and MRI at SAT would cost you less toto than going to Gaudalajara and less stressful.

Eric:  What is a LAD? Is it what I copied below?

Anterior interventricular branch of left coronary artery

The cost is secondary IMO to the radiologist who reads the films. I had a CT scan in GDL at RIO and the radiologist screwed up 3 times and the surgeon finally said he will work with the X rays.

Looking for a CT scan of my LAD.

I know the costs here are much greater than in Guadalajara.

Any input appreciated.

I had a 3d scan of my heart . black and white and color. It was amazing. Showed everything... It was at CID diagnostics and imaging. Well worth the 15,000 pesos. Next door to San Francisco Assis hospital. .... https://blogs.chihealth.com/3d-heart-model-gives-cardiologists-most-accurate-picture-of-blockages/

As a sculptor I can appreciate more of a hands on approach. With the expensive  cardiogram, the cardio interventionalist can exactly see where they are going, they can zoom in, zoom out, everything is recorded to a DVD. It is really quite simple, if you want the best, second generation cardio interventionalist in Guadalajara to work on you, you need him to perform a cardiogram. In my case, I was given a clear sailing, thank Jehovahstat.
