sm1mex
Is there an emergency service device that a senior can wear and press for help if they have fallen or needed other assistance?
cedros
There used to be such in Ajijic but it closed a few years ago,

bmh
It would be good to have such a service as there is nothing now.
MexSeekin
Perhaps a smart watch with a fall detection feature set up to alert an emergency contact could be useful? https://wearholic.com/best-smartwatches-with-fall-detection/
sm1mex
Thanks but not sure who this smart watch could call and doubt my friend could learn how to use this technology.
Ferret
Read the link again please. Some of the watches send to 3 e-mail contacts of the client's choice automatically to inform them of a fall. The client doesn't have to set it up. They just have to wear it and keep it charged. It's pretty amazing technology. The drawback is that the phone has to be charged and that means not wearing it. Many falls occur at night when getting up to use the loo. That seems easy enough to deal with if they get in the habit of charging it when they sit down in their favorite chair to watch TV or whatever.
