I bought some Manchego cheese at Costco. They are called "quesos espadoles" Does anyone know what the latter word is?

That could be-a d instead of a n but that is what it says on the package.

It is a typo.   The designation queso manchego is protected under Spain's denominación de origen regulatory classification system,  and the cheese has been granted Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status by the European Union.

Looks like a possible cheese "knockoff" or counterfeit cheese. Looks very similar, but it might not be the real thingy ! I doubt the real one would have a "typo".

did you figured that out? Local connections always make forums a bit more relatable. You might even run into people nearby with similar setups. It’s always helpful sharing that kind of info. Over time, you’ll start forming opinions based on what works and what doesn’t. Kind of like figuring out the worst grocery stores in America —experience shapes everything. Jump into discussions when you can. You’ll settle in fast.
