bmh
They will ask what is the closest centro de salud to your house or if you can get there.. This is according to their site, e will see when they call. I wonder if they will get people who speak English to call the foreigners..ANother interesting point.. Mostlylost
Don't expect anything to happen soon. There will be no vaccine available until the 15th of February. Where? will be explained when you are called or emailed. SInce they asked both Municipio and postal code possibly it will be like influenza vaccine at your nearest clinic. Ie; Chapala, San Antonio, Ajijic, etc. Until then sit back, relax, and enjoy your favorite adult beverage.
Floradude
I hope I am wrong but I suspect the vaccine will not be available in sufficient numbers here as soon as they are saying. If I were a betting man I would say sometime in late Spring.
sm1mex
I doubt they will call in English. Spanish is spoken so fast it is hard to understand on the phone. So trying to get the information correct could be hard for many.
Bisbee Gal
I am hoping they will use the email address....should be able to send mass emails at one time. MEX 60+ population estimated 10 million. Even if only a quarter registered, can you imagine how long it would take to make 2.5 million phone calls?????? bmh
The phone calls, I suspect will be made by localspeople in each muncipio.. They say in the website that they will call. WHat they will do is another thing... They do not speak fast, tey speak at normal speed which may be too fast for foreigners..
sm1mex
Yes it is very fast for foreigners second kind of language.
Bisbee Gal
The confirmation form says they will contact you, doesn't say they will phone you. Shipments of 2nd dose of Pfizer was delayed. Expected to arrive soon, almost enough for all 2nd doses for Healthcare workers. Here is story, https://mexiconewsdaily.com/news/coronavirus/pfizer-vaccine-to-arrive-between-february-15-and-22/ Federal health officials were confident Friday that deliveries of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine will arrive soon enough that people who have had their first shot will receive the second one on time. Deputy Health Minister Hugo López-Gatell told the nightly press briefing that Pfizer had advised it was unable to send more vaccine any sooner than February 15 following an appeal by President López Obrador that deliveries be hastened. Health Ministry spokesman Ruy López Ridaura told the press conference that some 511,000 doses are expected between February 15 and 22. However, he said those who were given their first shot since January 13 — 530,959 healthcare workers — will get their second within 35 days, given that the second injections will begin on February 17.
