Eric Blair
I have an older Panasonic 32" TV. It has only a digital audio out connector connector on the back. I need headphones but don't want to play with a soundbar or wireless. I understand that there is a simple converter box but don't know what it's called or if they work decently. It seems very simple from videos I have seen. I also need to know if when I use this, it kills the speakers in the TV, which I don't want. Any help appreciated. Thanks
Mostlylost
The type of TV will determine if use of the audio output kills the speaker. Plug in a connector & you will know instantly. Possibly there are audio settings on your TV menu. Digital to analog convertors function just fine.
Ukiyo
Are you looking for this? https://www.amazon.com/s?k=digital+audio+converter&crid=3AU90O7DEM8TS&sprefix=digital+audio+%2Caps%2C302&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_6_14 Usually they do not kill the speakers functions but you need to refer to the specs.
