Freemaninmex
I hope that getting mine stolen is an emergency, as my green card and driver's licence went with it.
Stream
The website has links if you browse around that gives closest location. Where I am they don't even answer the phone or door hehehe. You can fill out a form online then print it. It's definite they made something stronger than pot legal in DC because even paying $60 for expedited service it's 6 weeks to get things done then maybe another 6 weeks. At least you can print the filled out form using the website. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/have-passport/renew.html
Mostlylost
If you need a replacement for an emergency the Consulate in GDL has that service https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=dFDPZv5a0UimkaErISH0Szi3DTazr0NBsx5_pSkMOZRURFZOWjUxRlBKS1NXSkdVQlNKRUhIMUtOTSQlQCN0PWcu
Stream
From what's been said earlier it sounds like states side is a whole different story. I've been waiting 12 weeks. Trying youtube for anyone else's story this recent video says states side it's 5 months wait for regular processing and 3 month expedited service. Passport has been through received and processing and has now been approved for over a month. After approval the server has the passport in the printing queue. Over a month of that but one news story a man was saying the status check hasn't been kept up by the service. Lucky you live in Mexico if your times are faster than 3-5 months Then if you live in the states well like Starkist says, sorry Charlie. mexijims1
Lake Chapala Society (LCS) does passport renewals on occasion. I got mine renewed in November, 2020 -- their first offering since Covid shut everything down. I got mine back from the Consulate in 20 days. It was a great (easy) experience. Call LCS to find out about future passport events.

Yo1
No, it's all done by email and mail. Actually much easier.
