InChapala1
I’m seeking recommendations for a Periodontist. A friend recommended Dr. Haro’s office, but she did not have any work done by the periodontist that works there - Dr. Luis Miguel de la Isla. Found a discussion on this forum from 2014-2015 that recommended Dr. Edgar Murillo González (works out of Dr. Barragan's office). Any updates on recommendation since 2014-2015 for Dr. Edgar Murillo González? Any recommendations for Dr. Luis Miguel de la Isla or any other local periodontists? Thanks. I had some periodontal work done in January by a Dra. that is associated with Dr. Barragan's office.... some 'minor' gum and bone work prior to a crown on that tooth. I think that it was about 3300 pesos but the cost will probably depend on the exact work being done.
Gilligan
I started as a patient at Dr Barrigan's about 7 years ago. About 6 years ago I had to have a tooth extraction and had an examination of my gums by Dr Edgar. He suggested I have the procedure where they slice the gums open, do a deep scrape and clean, and then sew me back up. Done in 2 phases left / right. That was done about 4 years ago and I see him every 6 months for follow-up monitoring and cleaning. He's very good, very thorough and I've been very pleased with him. In fact I see him again in about 3 weeks. Hope this helps
RickS
That's the same procedure I wrote about above but it was a Dra. and not a Dr. so Barragan's office must have more than one Periodontist associated with them. I did not have to wait but about 4 days for my procedure last December but of course could not proceed with a crown for 6 weeks waiting for the gum to heal.
