ComputerGuy
According to a Website about the Guadalajara Airport, there is free WiFi called GAP FREE. Has anyone seen this or used it? Family flying in; just curious, because they could use it to Whatsapp me. https://www.sleepinginairports.net/guides/guadalajara-airport-guide.htm?fbclid=IwAR1rHjJr3IVgjTI7dXux2jbC3ORFQsxIuejMHzCEAVsJfO3Ea_DD8VpJvaY#wifi
Bisbee Gal
Use it all the time (at least every 6 to 8 weeks we fly out of GDL), works fine. I use it in departure gate areas. Maybe once out of a few dozen times in the past 3 years it did not work. Have never used it in the arrival or ticket areas.

ComputerGuy
Seems you have to create an account to use it, so we found other options. Thanks to all.
Bisbee Gal
No, no account needed for GAP when accessing at GDL. I power up my netbook and check for available networks, and the GAP is there and I click on it, and away I go. I use it to surf the net, not sure how it interfaces with Whatsapp on a phone. Oh....unless you are saying you need to create a Whatsapp account??? That is true, but not a big deal....I have one for US phone number and another for MX phone number. ComputerGuy
You probably signed up way back and just don't recall, because it definitely asked to create an account. This person simply decided not to.
Mostlylost
Remember that when you are using a free public network it's like the old party line phone..anyone can "listen in" You need to use a VPN or your connection is not secure.
