Gerry Posted November 25, 2019 Report Share Posted November 25, 2019 Today I passed through Guadalajara airport and bought a taxi ticket, as I always do. Cost 435 pesos. Gave 600 pesos as I had to use the ATM to get Mexican cash. Received coins in one hand and bills in the other. Paused to figure out which change to deal with first and noticed that the ticket seller had not put the money I gave him into the cash till. Strange, double checked bills I'd been given: 100 pesos short!!!😠 What burns me is that people like him play into misconceptions about Mexicans. I have NEVER encountered dishonesty here before. Shame on him and I told him so though not in the politest of terms!😂 Moral of the story: don't get distracted by the coins, focus on the bills! I reported him.
