HarryB
Tomorrow (monday) at 3 p.m. at the Lake Chapala Society the state director of traffic police wishes to speak to the expat community. The intention is to tell you what they are doing and to go over a few things you can do and not do. All are welcome.
solajijic
Go to the meeting. And when given information like that for the licenses recognize it as sketchy but specific enough to get you started. Then just go during business hours and find out for yourself. People online are generally hesitant to give specifics because if one item is off in their answer it gets pointed out and things can go nasty. Just figure things out for yourself given a starting point. Or save yourself the aggravation and go with one of the dozens of 'facilitators' into Guad and get it done on your time table and without a lot of hassle.
HarryB
the director gave unspecific directions in order to give applicants flexibility. Municipal hours are 9-3 which is generally known. The Transito office is on the Hidalgo side of the building, as said. This is an opportunity being offered and I only have the info I am given. Go or not.
