Paying your bills online

Recommended Posts

For those who are interested, here's a site to to pay for your cellphone, telephone and CFE bills and other services.

https://undostres.com.mx/?gclid=CjwKCAjwy7vlBRACEiwAZvdx9kO0182nrBflyHFkijeH1doHkfebxGMY8F0wzJZb0JqzXgLHB1SJNxoC_GoQAvD_BwE

They don't seem to charge a commission for Telcel payments.  Our CFE bill is 46p (we have solar) and they charge a 6p commission.  I don't know if higher bills are charged higher commissions.  We don't have Telmex so I don't know if they charge a commission for that service.

They link to PayPal and credit cards.

FYI the black letters on colored background is harder for some people to read.

I just tried using this service.  I registered (email and pick a password), then successfully paid my Telmex bill. The service is NOT free. They charged a small commission of $8 to handle the transaction, which is about what OXXO would charge. I also got a message that it would take 24 to 48 hours for the transaction to post.

You can also pay CFE and others. The program is smart. You enter a company name and your account number and it retrieves the amount you owe.

Like I said, we don't have Telmex.  But I put 200p on my Telcel phone yesterday and there was no fee.  My PayPal showed a debit of 200p.

Why pay a commission to pay bills? You can pay CFE using the CFEContigo app, you can pay Telmex directly on their site and you can buy airtime at any ATM or from your Mexican bank account's website.

Does CFE accept foreign credit cards?

All Day, just to verify. You used PayPal with this service?  That may be worth a few pesos to be able to use a foreign credit card because some utilities don't accept the foreign credit cards.

If  your asking me if I used PayPal (there's no question mark in your sentence), the answer is yes.

Thanks, oregontochapala!  Never used to be able to use non-Mexican cards or PayPal.  I just paid my CFE using a foreign card.

Just paid my ATT cell phone using PayPal with this web site.  No commission fee.  My PayPal is connected to my US credit card.  Also with PayPal, it set it up as an automatic payment. I can cancel that part at anytime.

There is undostres app for the Android cell phone. Why is that important? I was trying to pay my SIAPA water bill. When I tried paying on-line, it was asking for a 22 didgit code. The only long code was in the bar code and it much longer than 22 didgit.

Then I found the app and installed on it on my Android phone.  All I had to do was point the camera at the bar code. The app pick up the code and filled in amount due. Then I accepted the charge to PayPal, thus charging my US credit card. There was a 6 pesos fee.  There may be a app for the iPhone.
