Lakesider
Need help in getting an idea how much would it cost to hire a nurse 24/7. Recommendation? Mom is in her late 90's. She is frail, able and still lucid but not bedridden . Any input will be much appreciated. Thanks.
Ferret
Call Lidia at Lakeside Medical. Store is 766-2088 and her cell phone number (was) 333-156-9080. In 2014 the cost was 500 pesos for an 8 hour shift and I'm sure that's gone up.

Ferret
The person needs care 24/7. That could be three different nurses in 8 hour shifts. Or two different nurses in twelve hour shifts.
vetteforron
I understand what you need. We use to do in home care but, I found running from one end of the lake to the other was not worth it. Now Lidia is a good source just make sure the care giver has at least a class as an auxiliary nurse. There are classes from Chapala to Jocotepec. My point is whoever you hire should be able to know some basic skills. Good luck.
