Then, there was that Bering land bridge that allowed humans to migrate from Asia to the American continent........It was the result of changing sea levels.  Climate change was the cause: Seriously lower temperatures caused more water to be 'locked up' as ice in the arctic and antarctic regions, thus lowering the sea levels. Now, the opposite is happening as we are definitely warming up and the ice caps and glaciers are melting, raising sea levels. Then, there is tectonic movement; another topic with its own set of effects.

Ten times a year, the Naval Station Norfolk floods. The entry road swamps. Connecting roads become impassable. Crossing from one side of the base to the other becomes impossible. Dockside, floodwaters overtop the concrete piers, shorting power hookups to the mighty ships that are docked in the world’s largest naval base.

The Defense Department has been planning for climate change for more than a decade, often in the face of roadblocks set up by climate science skeptics in Congress.

If the frikkin' U.S. NAVY is budgeting for ocean rise as a result of climate change... well, is that enough REAL NEWS for ya?

Climate change is a global phenomena. it's been here since our planet was born.  It will not disappear even if all humanity suddenly evaporates.. By the way.... ours is not an only planet which experience constant climate changes. We should be mindful but killing all industries in North America will not stop climate to change.

Preaching about it became today's  new religion or fashion . Some people have to believe in some kind of "cause" . It became very politicized  . Where ever I go I am bombarded with  "global warming" and" climate change" slogans (in BC). I am not a friend of this fanatic energy.

Maybe we should worried more about weakening of Earth's magnetic field. It changes quicker then climate.

There are many possible (and worrisome)  catastrophes in waiting which could affect our civilization. Not just US or Mexico .

Hang in there and enjoy what you have and like.

climate change was happening well before the human race appeared and will continue well after we are all gone.

Get ready for another cold and wet period as tropical moisture mixes it up with yet another early strong cold front.  Wonder if the lake will start rising again?

Not even December yet and already 12 cold fronts.

We get a large pickup load for $2,000 pesos from a local:   Saul.  766-4275. He lives in the block west of you on Constitution and has wood stacked out front.   They bring it in and stack it where we want it. We had an log lighter installed, so no kindling needed.

But what does that have to do with anything? The point is, now humanity is aiding and abetting, and we need to determine ways to put the brakes on.

FAKE NEWS!!! Show me the proof... for every "study" claiming so I can show you one that it is not so although these do not get published by the fake news. This has become a huge money grubbing industry and the gullible public is falling for it.

Mostly, climate change happens slowly enough that the general population ignores it, prays about it, or is unaware of it. Heck, many don't even know about the impact disaster 65 million years ago, which wiped out most life on the planet, but which allowed some ground-burrowing tiny mammals to survive and ......eventually, primates of many sorts evolved; including us. It is the sudden events that will certainly get our attention, even if briefly, as in the eventual eruption of the world's largest active volcano....Yellowstone! It will create instant and disastrous climate change, in the form of a 'nuclear winter' lasting for years; even decades. That will be an extinction event.

Like present Canadian Government  example :  kill industries and put people out of work. Then legalize a marijuana to ameliorate their suffering and get revenue from this new "clean agricultural" industry. Way to go, Bravo.
