The young man speaks English and will slice to order. La Vid is located right next (east) to the Waffle House mountain side going west out of Ajijic and is open Mon-Fri 10 8 and Sat. & Sun 10-2. I find the corned beef at SuperLake, in the cryovac, edible but nothing like the real thing (same as the pastrami at CostCo: this is pastrami?) How does La Vid compare? The roast beef and corned beef don't have a lot of flavor, but we had it sliced very thin, so a few pieces don't really make a lot on a sandwich. Next time I will get it sliced thicker.
