Zeb
I posted a similar request under the Pet section. A friend is looking for a very inexpensive place to live where she can keep her horse right nearby. I would appreciate any leads.

I was hoping someone on this board would have some leads or even heading towards Joco.
bojackson
We had friends who lived in two different rental houses for a couple of years and kept her horse and several dogs in San Nicholas. Small village but close to Ajijic.
pappysmarket
When we lived in San Antonio, many years ago, the guy right next to us had a horse that lived in his carport. When we visited last month I noticed there still is a horse in the same locale. Closer than San Nicholas.
Natasha
pappysmarket said "...When we lived in San Antonio, many years ago....." Apart from the fact that living in a carport is a pretty sad existence for a horse, you are not qualified to use San Antonio and "...very inexpensive place to live..." (as requested by OP) in the same sentence. Yes it is cheaper than Ajijic, but certainly would not qualify any more for OP's requirements!
