ezpz
Other question about Uber - when I was in CDMX, had an urgent dental matter and took a taxi to a great guy. At the office, they had another different system like Uber but you can pay cash, they called that for me and it went very well. That got me thinking, If you used Uber a lot and had to pay with a card, wouldn't that really clutter up your bank statement?? Do any of you know of a different taxi app? They said it was just called "taxi." Overall, would you say that Uber could take the place of actually owning a car?
tomgates
I use Uber in Guadalajara with great success. I use Lyft in the US with equal success. The biggest benefit is the quality of the cars vs taxi's questionable quality. I am also an Uber driver here but don't do it because the rates are too low. There was a lady the other day in Ajijic handing out cards saying she was Uber but the app didn't show her. Avoid these people for the main reason they lack insurance whereas Uber drivers carry insurance. 1
