barrbower
Do residentes permanentes need to show US passports to clear security or board planes or will the permanente green card work OK? Rather not carry passport if it isn't needed. Alan
Sandrita
May depend on where you are going My attorney has always told me if I am going to be out of the Lakeside area that I should carry both my passport and visa card
ibarra
Perhaps checking with the individual airlines would be prudent. I found a website for Volaris that includes their required travel information. Hope this helps. http://clasico.volaris.com/en/useful-information/forms-and-documents/forms-and-documents/?typeRout=3&isPassengerOlder60=1&isPassengerAdult=
AngusMactavish
If one is hesitant to carry your resident card or passport because of the fear of losing them, get and carry a certified copy of each.
Wookie
We have flown several airlines here and have always had to have our passports.
nolajoe
Off subject, but maybe of interest, I have used my Jalisco driver's license for ID twice on domestic flights. Once with Volaris, another time with Aeromexico. My passport and visa were packed in my carry on. The first time, I wanted to see if the DL would be accepted for ID, the second time it just seemed easier.
el bartman
I have never carried a passport for air travel within Mexico. Have flown on many, many occasions. I have always shown just my Jalisco Driver's License like nolajoe. If worried you permanente is fine as well or in addition to.
jrod
I've carried and shown Jalisco driver license, passport, and permanente and all have been acceptable for travel within Mexico. From Volaris's website, it says IFE, credential or passport: IFE, Pasaporte ó cedula profesional.
