JoeM
When constructing a new house, is it possible to wire it with two meters so as to keep the average electricity usage lower? Not talking about a duplex, but a single-family residence. In other words, pretend you're building a duplex. Joe
tomgates
Most people I know that had 2 meters now only have one. CFE has caught up to that scam.
zerbit
Add solar into your plans. Your CFE bill will be about 50 pesos a cycle. Yeah, electricity is cheap now, but in MX most power is generated by fossil fuels, it's going to climb in cost. Both our MX homes have solar. It's pretty inexpensive here. Might be offset by the new cheap renewables going in all over Mexico? https://www.greentechmedia.com/articles/read/mexico-record-solar-prices-are-below-the-cost-of-gas-and-coal
