sunshine59
Does anyone know how many questions are on a test? And what the address is where you need to take it? Thank you.
MtnMama
You do need to pass the test the first time you get your license, but I suggest using Juan at Lake Chapala's Personal Assistant for going to the office and negotiating the bureaucracy. They provide study materials for new licenses, a list of the documents needed, and Juan will assist you with translation. He is a real sweetheart and a pleasure to work with. http://www.chapala-pa.com/day-trips

Thank you. 20 last year. You have to go to Guadalajara fro the test. Periodically they come out here to give the test and licenses. They did 2 or 3 times in Chapala and once to Ixtlahuacan. I worried about the written test so I put off getting a Mexican DL for over 6 years! It was a piece of cake with Juan in charge. He got us in right away even though there were long lines. There was someone to help you take the test on a computor. Juan got the driving part waived with our NOB licenses. He is worth every peso and more.
