CapitalOne360 and Banorte

Have been unable to withdraw from Banorte since about the 10th of Nov. Keep getting the message that the card does not match the account. Talked with CO360 and they said that the request they get from Banorte is that of a cash advance on a credit card, which I don't have. Each time I have entered from "Checking". He said I was not the first to call about this problem. Said try another bank, I did, worked fine. Looks like Banorte does not want the 360 cards any more. I tried to get help at a Banorte, but they said there is no one to contact. The problem has to be my bank, (wrong). Anyone else found this problem? What other banks have low withdrawal fees?

CIBanco in Plaza Laguna off the libramiento has the lowest at 17.40 pesos.  The problem there is that the bank staff reload the machine so there seems to only be cash in it during banking hours - due to its low fees it is a popular machine and it runs out often.

After that I go to HSBC, in the strip of that same plaza facing Walmart.  I seem to remember that the fee is about 35 pesos.

That's what is good about the CI Banco machine.  It gets refilled much faster and more often than the others.  Plus you can withdraw your entire dollar limit in one transaction.  And it is guarded.  Well worth the 85 cents U.S. to use it IMO.

I suspect people are stockpiling cash knowing these exchange rates probably won't last forever.

Which machine did you try to use?  I last used the one at El Torito for 5 x $3000 pesos OK on Nov. 1st but am not there now to try again.  This would be a bummer as it's my main source of cash but the cheap fee at CIBanco would be the best alternative in the future.  There are no fee free Banorte machines left in Chapala where I live and as far as I know the only other two left are the Ajijic Oxxo and the casino across from Walmart.

Actually, we have been visiting in Leon since the 5th, and I have tried 4 different Banorte banks there. I believe they have stopped using the 360, but no one knows how to verify that. My other cards work fine on the Banorte ATM, and my 360 works fine everywhere except Banorte. Go figure. (Going to try CI Banco today here in Leon)

Checked CI Banco and works just fine, max is 6000p a day, here in Leon. Cost is 11p. Actually a little closer to where we are staying than a Banorte anyway. Only thing is that at Banorte I could get 18000 p in a day. Can make do. Thanks for the help.
