johnnyg
A question to those with solar alone hot water systems. Is your hot water needs being meet during these no sun days?

Is your hot water needs being meet during these no sun days? Kind of sort of. Had to turn on the instant on gas heaters for short periods of time. Thank God though, that I have double glazed windows. I bought them to keep the noise out but it is now helping keep the cold out.

Xena
My solar hot water is fine when there is up to three days with no (as in zero) sun. In the year and a half I have had it there has never been an issue until this past week. Day four of no sun I had lukewarm water. Yesterday on day five it was slightly warmer than the cold faucet. A friend left her gas water heater in place when she installed solar and this is the first time she has had to use her backup.
CHILLIN
Sun is starting to squeak out up here in the hills. Then supposed to be at least a week of clear, sunny weather. No wonder so many ancient cultures worshipped the sun (and the moon).
pappysmarket
If it stays clear tonight you can go out and bay at the Supermoon.

moderator-2
And on that we will end. Let's all move on and put the focus here where we live. Lots to work on and do. Lots of fun and noise this week in Ajijic. Sun is out. Some great new places to eat out. Lots for expats to be thankful for this week!
