Contact lenses

If you just need a refill on current prescription, Costco. Includes free eye exam, if desired.

Contact lenses in Mexico are about 30% cheaper than in the U.S. (Walgreens, etc.)

They also didn't seem to be too concerned about having a current prescription.

I handed them the old box, and they gave me the same prescription. They occasionally have sales,

some advertised, some only in-store. For more compicated vision issues, Dr. Pinto

I haven't compared prices of my contacts at Costco here to Costco in the U.S. recently but I know that several years ago they were definitely cheaper in the U.S..  I also never knew that Walgreens in the U.S. sold contact lenses.  Are you sure about that?

You could have easily looked it up yourself if it really makes a difference to you

whether Walgreen's sells contacts or not, rather than challenge a statement

I made, but apparently that would be too much to ask, so here,  I did it for you.

Such a friendly tone in your response.  Guess I should have said that I had never seen them available in Walgreen stores but perhaos they are only available online.  I'll have to compare their prices with US Costco.  Thanks for the info.

I don´t know where you all buy your contacts up north, but they are about 3 times the price in Mexico (including Costco) than ordering them online. I don´t have experience with shipping to Mexico, I just had them sent to a friend´s place in Canada who was coming down.

Mudgirl: I am not sure how you figure this out but my experience is that contact lenses in Mexico are less that 400 pesos per box of 6. This equates to less than 30.00  CDN and where in Canada can you buy contact lenses for less that 10.00CDN per box? (Your statement-Canada cost=Mexico cost divided by 3)

My contact lenses are more expensive at Costco here than at Costco in the US.

For 22 years I have ordered from lens.com and have them shipped here. The lens that I buy come in a box with 6 lens.  I have not found a single company in Mexico that offer the 6 in a box, they offer 2 in a box at a much higher price.  I download my ex from my Mexican doctor which is in Spanish.  Lens.com accepts it and they ship in about 10 days.
