More Liana
For those of you who understand Spanish. This video will help you understand--from a very personal perspective--what is happening in Michoacán's Tierra Caliente. The video is diffused by the Carmen Aristegui news organization; Aristegui is the most respected source of news in Mexico. http://aristeguinoticias.com/1211/mexico/video-michoacan-una-lucha-a-muerte-por-la-vida-testimonios-de-la-violencia/
valbogyo
For those who do not understand Spanish well enough to follow the video above: There are two interviews with Dr. Mireles on BorderlandBeat. You just need to scroll down to Nov 12th and you can watch them with English subtitles. Very, very good in helping get a picture of what life has been like for people in that area of Mexico. valbogyo
The video translation, into English, is posted on borderlandbeat now. http://www.borderlandbeat.com/2013/11/michoacan-fight-to-deathfor-life_16.html#more Some day I hope for my Spanish to be good enough to understand 100% of what I hear. I am greatful for borderlandbeat for finding people willing to translate important videos like this one. It must be time consuming.
