Looking for a doctor 'here' who is licensed in the US or Canada

I have a relative with me who had medical testing done here in Mexico, and has a prescription written by that doctor. Problem is that one of the meds prescribed is literally not available in Mexico. I thought I could order it online and have it delivered in the US -- but it turns out I can't do that because online pharmacies will only accept prescriptions written by licensed US or Canadian doctors (not Mexican).

If I could find a US or Canadian doctor here, I'd be glad to pay them to re-write the prescription, so I could buy these meds.

Anyone else find a different solution to this? Any help is appreciated. (FYI: The medication needed concerns blood pressure.)

Thanks.

Had the same problem, was taking a combination drug. Went to the doctor here (Ladron) with the name of the med, he substituted two separate pills for the one pill. Seems to be working just fine.

Ditto the good work of Dr Hernandez. Practiced in Illinois and Mexico. See all about him at Chapala Med website.

I will try to reach Dr. Hernandez to see if he can help me. Thanks for that suggestion.

If anyone else can offer any other such ways to get a US or Canadian prescription written for me -- please give me your advice. I will follow all leads until I can get a solution.

Thanks again to all.

Boy this is confusing!! I ordered 2 prescription drugs from the Canadian on-line pharmacy and no questions were asked about the source of the prescription which happened to be from my Mexican doctor. They were delivered as ordered although, as they arrived from India, there was a considerable delay getting them through Aduana to whom I did have to provide copies of the prescription.

HELP! Dr. Hernandez says he won't write the prescription I need, since he wasn't the doctor who did all the testing. ANY other possibilities? I thought Dr. Hernandez might have called our doctor (a specialist in this illness in DF) to confirm all the details, but... no. Any other suggestion as to how to get a legitimate prescription written by a US or Canadian doctor (which could be used to purchase the meds online)? One of the meds is not available in Mexico at all, so it is a "Catch 22" that we're caught in.

There are many different blood pressure medicines and one of the them is likely to be a good replacement for the one she currently is taking. But it will be better to wean her off one, while she gets used to the otehr. Take Lakeside7's excellent advice ASAP.
