I have stopped in here twice now for just a quick bite and the place is great! The woman there speaks good English, as well.

The burritas are 10 pesos and quite tasty. I had a strawberry tamale that was probably the best I've had since I got here back in January. There was a guy eating a hamburger who said it was his favorite in Ajijic...I don't eat meat, but it smelled and looked really good. The french fries are just frozen Aurerra fried in a skillet, but decent.

She will have tamales again tomorrow...I will be going for some! 8 pesos and she offered to make special vegetarian ones.

It is just a hole in the wall, so don't expect ambiance. However, it is a family type feel. The woman sat and ate with us today.

My one hesitation in recommending it is that the mother is a great cook, but the daughter (who made one of my burritas today) doesn't do as well.

It is on the Carretera across from Dr. Leon's office (just up from the Colon intersection). Prices are very reasonable.
