slobo
We drove from Chapala to San Antonio yesterday, 13 hours, all roads excellent, the stretch from Lagos to the SLP cuota connection has some potholes requiring creativity at 80 mph, extremely light traffic throughout Mexico, no police/military stops. We saw no bodies or shootouts. 70mph speed limits overly enforced in Texas made that stretch the most tedious part of the trip, though we were not stopped. I prefer the Mexican approach of allowing us to buy only the government services that are required.
