Mainecoons Posted May 15 Report Posted May 15 Some rain in May does not signal the beginning of the rainy season. Indications now are things are drying back out. The big dry high pressure over central Mexico that is typical for May has moved back in after temporarily shifting to the east over the Gulf. Love how it washed some of the dust down and gave us a respite from May heat. Heat's back on starting today. 1 1 Quote
Go Solar Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 June 12 if it can be duplicated, otherwise June 10th. Quote

Mostlylost Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 I remember one year about 1975 or so when the rain had not arrived by June 19th. A group of maybe 50 Wixaritari indians arrived and made camp in San Antonio on a lakefront property. 2 days and late nights of ceremonies and tossing offerings into the lake..... 3rd night the rain storm was huge. They packed up and went home saying their job was done. 1 1 Quote

Natasha Posted May 31 Report Posted May 31 Informador on line just now says Monday! The SMN forecasts heavy rains, thunderstorms and possible hailstorms in much of the country over the next few days. From Monday, June 1, the advance of a new tropical wave and the interaction of various atmospheric systems will favor a rainy season in much of the national territory. First storm Pacific side.... she'll be AMANDA...... forming up very quickly with quite high probably of becoming named storm that could well intensify much more than usual for this time of year. ⛈️ Quote
NEWMtnMama Posted May 31 Author Report Posted May 31 Who knows? WeatherOne says Monday and Weatherunderground says tonight. Quote
Mainecoons Posted May 31 Report Posted May 31 Ajijic weather site also high probability for tonight and tomorrow but reduced after that. That's a revision from earlier forecasts that anticipated high percentages for the next five days. As hot and humid as it is, could be a real rockem sockem. But looking at the radar it looks like the action is developing NE of us in the center of the country. So the energy may be there tonight. It is hot and humid enough for some action, that is for sure. I'm reading 82F and 60% relative humidity. Quote
