Dear neighbors of the Lakeside community,

Since last year, I have been very excited about a project I’ve had in mind. It has been postponed for reasons beyond my control, mainly of a geopolitical nature.

I arrived in Jalisco at the end of September 2025 to reunite with the love of my life. I come with a strong background in specialized Mac upgrades and security support — particularly cybersecurity — having taken various courses with internationally recognized professionals.

With that momentum, and following recommendations from clients I gradually left in San Miguel de Allende, I began considering reaching out to you. There, I mainly assisted older American clients, accompanying them — more than instructing them — in how to navigate online life safely: email practices, spam awareness, and everything related to digital security, well-being, and peace of mind.

Around October, near my birthday (October 4th — I was born in 1968), I began feeling the intention to visit this area, which I knew from childhood. My partner was born in Chapala, so there was also a romantic desire to visit, pick up a few books, and sit by the malecón.

Although I once considered moving there, I decided to remain closer to her for now. My plan was to visit and perhaps meet in a café, as I have done in public libraries and community spaces in other parts of Mexico — including San Miguel de Allende, Chiapas, and Acapulco, where I lived for a time.

I had planned to visit on Tuesday the 16th, but certain national security circumstances arose. I had to postpone appointments with some clients who contacted me through this platform and are currently subscribed to my Technology Concierge program — a service plan I offer on a monthly or annual basis.

When I had the full logistics arranged for a Sunday visit — the how, where, when, why, and with whom — further obstacles intensified and prevented me from attending. I had promised more than three people I would visit them in person.

I primarily work remotely from my base studio in Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, near Plaza Galerías. I met these clients remotely, and we have all been very satisfied with the results. It has been a mutually rewarding experience to continue supporting them consistently through my Plus subscription plan.

My intention remains the same.

I felt the need to write this because, although the rational mind says, “This is outside of my control,” and I understand that I cannot demand that the universe — or God — crystallize my plans, emotionally it did affect me. I believe everything has a reason and that there is always a hidden blessing. Still, this has been something I have been planning for about five months, since I began writing here.

Last week, I also discovered that I temporarily did not have access to the Webboard, even though the site itself was functioning. In a way, that was fortunate, because I did not prematurely announce a firm commitment to be somewhere specific.

I prefer writing here rather than on my Facebook wall, which I usually use as a personal desk for thoughts and things I enjoy. I am not someone who shares much on Facebook — they even say that even your imaginary friend has a Facebook account. (laughs)

To those reading now or later: I still intend to visit. I do not know exactly when, but I would like to be present — to offer guidance, answer questions, and help where I can.

In 1982, I studied programming and data analysis. Since 1984, I have been a professional musician — first as a keyboardist, later as a pianist and solo entertainer in hotels. Electronic keyboards have always paralleled my work in computing, technology, and web design. I have carried both passions together throughout my professional life. I truly love both, and I genuinely enjoy helping people.

My intention is simply to support those who have questions — perhaps once a month, or once a week, as circumstances allow. I leave the timing in God’s hands. The power of intention and manifestation remains there, quietly present.

I am here at your service until circumstances indicate otherwise. I will continue seeking the opportunity to visit, even though work commitments I had already arranged did not align with broader geopolitical realities in our region and the world. I sometimes realize how deeply it saddens me to see how fear can govern decisions and limit freedom and initiative.

February is almost over, and at this point, I do not believe I will be able to attend during this month as I had hoped.

Thank you to those who have asked how I am — I am well. Everything continues moving forward.

I look forward to meeting in person those whom I have supported remotely, and I appreciate that you continue reaching out to me at 33-1355-4487.

With respect, openness, loyalty, and trust, I send my best regards and wishes for a beautiful and stable life situation.

Sincerely,
Yan Kayary

Thank you for reading.

To clarify: I offer Mac & PC support, upgrades, and cybersecurity guidance, primarily for residents in the Lakeside area. I work remotely and am planning in-person visits as circumstances allow.

If you need assistance, feel free to contact me directly.

Warm regards,
Yan

Hello Yan:

Great post. I would have a more beautiful and stable life situation if I could get my Apple CarPlay working again, with my iPhone 15, in my MiniCooper S, 2019. It was infrequently dicey to get it going on the monitor in the car, but it's one reason I bought the car. Here in Mexico I really could use the screen to navigate with a lot more confidence. A friend was messing around with my phone when I was driving and I've never been able to get the system working on the monitor even though the bluetooth and wifi Mini connections are working.

Would you be interested in taking a look at this problem? I don't know your hourly rate, but I imagine it's affordable and it wouldn't take long to solve this connection problem. I hope that you are still here in the region.

Thank you,
Chiquiz

Hi Chiquiz,

Yes, I can definitely help you with that.

What you’re describing with CarPlay on the 2019 Mini + iPhone 15 is usually a mix of previous pairing conflicts, permission resets on iOS, or the car system holding an old connection profile after changes were made on the phone.

I can look at it with you in two ways:

- remote guided session (usually 20–40 minutes to fix it)

- or in-person if you’re around Chapala / Lakeside area

If you want, we can treat it as a quick diagnostic session and get it working step by step until it shows up properly on your screen again.

Just tell me what works better for you and we’ll set it up.

Best,

Yan
