Organic Fran
Hi, we are coming to Guadalajara soon and then moving on to Lake Chapala, Ajijic. Would love to know of any places where it might be possible to purchase some organic produce, fresh fruits, vegetables, greens, also millet, oats, and seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, sesame) Any of the above! Thank you! Frances (and David)
RickS
There are several organic markets weekly and otherwise some stores sell at least some of the things you asked about... Ask around when you arrive.

gringal
There are two Fresh Markets: One West of Ajijc and another on the East. Same goods.
Organic Fran
Thanks for the responses! Appreciated! So, Fresh Market, whether west or east Ajijic. Shall look them up online to learn their locations and hours. Interesting that either Guadalajara has not got anything or the members of this board know Ajijic better. So, not your average consumers here.

NEWMtnMama
IMHO the absolute freshest produce is found at the Tuesday Farmer's Market. Some is organic and all is the freshest I've found. There is also a booth that sells seeds, nuts, spices and other goodies. Plus booths with organic meats, fish and dairy products. And much more.
Organic Fran
I've been focusing on tuesday as an opportunity. Thanks for the encouragement. Cheers!

Be warned I live across the street from the Tuesday market but never go. Gringo prices to the max! Almost like I never left the USA.
Ferret
The Tuesday market is very strict about what is really organic. Fresh Market, on the other hand, gets most if not all of their stuff from Costco. Truly organic costs more and always has.
