Carnivore
AS REPORTED IN THIS WEEKS GDL REPORTER, THE LANDRY'S (SNOWBIRDS WITH A HOME IN SAN ANTONIO TLAYACAPAN) WERE RETURNING HOME TO CANADA WHEN THEY EXPERIENCED WHAT MUST HAVE BEEN A TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE. IT IS NOTED THAT THEY WERE ABOUT 3 HOURS OUT OF AJIJIC WHEN THE INCIDENT OCCURED. SAN JUAN DE LOS LAGOS IS MENTIONED IN THE ARTICLE AS BEING THE LOCATION WHERE THE LANDRY'S SUBSEQUENTLY FILED THEIR POLICE REPORT. IS ANYONE AWARE OF WHERE EXACTLY THEY WERE AMBUSHED? WERE THEY STILL ON 80D PRIOR TO SAN JUAN DE LOS LAGOS OR HAD THEY TURNED NORTH ON 80D TOWARDS ZACATECAS? ANY PRECISE INFORMATION WOULD BE VERY USEFUL. THANK YOU.

Ask any mexican Actually gringos was originally applied specifically to Americans. Mr. Google will tell you: ".......There is a popular story that gringo meaning came from the Mexican-American War during 1846 to 1848. The story goes that the U.S. military wore green coats when they were marching through Mexican territory. In response, the Mexicans would say, “Green go home!” These words meshed together and the word gringo was born........" We personally know quite a few Mexicans who DO differentiate between the two, so I'll have to stand on Mr. Landry's side on this one.
