  1. I put 500p in the envelope for the crew. Crew is sometimes 2, sometimes 3.
  2. Besides Dominos, Adelitas is good for delivery; we phone in order around 4pm and ask for it in a 30 minute timeframe near our dinner hour. It's good pizza (NY style), though limited versions and toppings. They are in SAT and we are Ajijic Centro and they are dependable. 200p min. order for free delivery. See their website for weekday discounts on deliver/takeaway. We got full rack ribs last night---20% off Tuesdays. Very meaty and tender, we will get 3 meals out of them for discounted 279p (before tip). https://adelitabarandgrill.com/menu/meal-delivery-food-to-go/
  3. They do not always keep the same hours. Both still work out of Guad and one or the other may be in surgery there, or surgery here. If you book with the wrong one, the other one may already have an appt. for that same time. Why waste your time, or their time??
  4. You kept referring to Dr. ROSS as Senior, that's what created the confusion. There is no Dr. ROSS Senior.
  5. The senior (father) is not named Ross. Dr. Ross is his son (using his mother's name as is tradional).
  6. I wouldn't go between now and mid-January because of the holidays.
  7. Pretty exhaustive discussion at this thread, with 71 replies it answers all your q's. We've had Total Play for several months and very happy with it.
  8. Baja Norte has a weekly special that they post on their FB page.
  9. fyi, for those with severe mobility issues, the parking at the bottom of restaurant may still present problems. It's a bit of a long and uphill hike to the dining area which is adjacent to the carretera. I don't know what the 'rules' are for parking at the OXXO and Intercam lot across the street, but that may be an option??? There is a traffic light at that intersection. Overall I think they will do well with so much foot traffic going by their front entry. Their prices are very reasonable given the quality of food and prep.
  10. Dr. Gonzalez Ross is the Junior. And he does spines. His father is Dr. Gonzalez Urzua who does knees, hips, hands.
  11. I have seen it used before and meaning, 'facing.' This from a Spanish language resource website. Enfrente de is one of those expressions, and it is better regarded as a trickster (see Chapter 3). Think of it as a synonym for "facing" or "across the way." A fountain that is enfrente de la casa is likely to be across the street from the house. Frente a means much the same and should be viewed as just as unreliable as enfrente de in most cases. Sometimes the act of "facing" is implicit. Lo tienes frente a los ojos = "You have it in front of your eyes"--that is, "staring you in the face." De frente a, finally, states very clearly that something is "face to face," literally "with its front facing (something)." Estoy parada de frente al sol = "I'm standing facing the sun."
  12. Once we were a day late with payment and ILOX cut us off, but they did not have our cc on file.
  13. Mmmm......better than ever. Here are pics of tacos de Shrimp Zarandeado and grilled octopus. Same menu and pricing as before.
  14. Online both Amazon Mexico and Walmart Mexico (to a lesser extent) have Keto items in stock, including snacks, brownie and cake mixes, dry pastas, pancake mixes, even tortillas! Don't know what they have in-store but may be worth a look.
  15. Ahhhhh.....from their FB page a few minutes ago, BAJA NORTE is in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico. 62foul6cmlor00d578 · ¡Estamos de regreso! Te vemos hoy de 12 a 10 pm ———— We are back! See you today from 12 to 10 pm See Translation 22

Meanwhile, the supermarket is completely closed, so people are asked not to act for their safety.
  18. Wow. Unbelievable. And I mean that literally. From Texas Health Dept. https://www.dshs.texas.gov/immunize/covid19/data/cases-and-deaths-by-vaccination-status-11082021.pdf Key Findings From September 4 through October 1, 2021: • Unvaccinated people were 13 times more likely to become infected with COVID-19 than fully vaccinated people. • Unvaccinated people were 20 times more likely to experience COVID-19-associated death than fully vaccinated people
  19. I agree that ANY currency exchange should reflect the NET. Truth in advertising along the lines of APR interest rates. Especially true on exchange rates since bank cards and transfer services charge different fees (or none at all). You "got" 21.789 but you paid $25 bucks to get that--what if another service gave someone the same rate, but charged 10 bucks, or 30 bucks?? To me, the NET amount you got including non-refundable fees should be reflected in how you express the exchange rate. Your 21.789 sounded pretty darn good, until it turned out to be 21.58 NET. I always adjust my Schwab transactions, since they refund ALL ATM fees EVERYWHERE...we have used from Spain to Guatemala to Portugal, never a fee that hasn't been refunded. And of course we use Schwab here in Ajijic at ANY ATM we want. Schwab is the SOLUTION to these charges....never heard anyone here complain about Schwab. Why do you only use Schwab in the US?
  20. This is what RV said. How conveniently you snipped his entire quote in order to defend @bobby brown and the false and repugnant equivalency to compare anyone to Nazis. You guys seem to stick together no how low @bobby brownstoops. Sad! RV stated the obvious--either the unvaxed GET vaxed or succumb to the viurs so that the % of vaxed people gets to 80 or 90%. You did perhaps read the Rubella was categorized this week as being wiped out in the US---guess how that happened?? Oh, vaccines, which are mandatory in every public school system in the US.
  21. One quack interviews another quack. BFD. https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/958916 The largest nonprofit health system in Texas has secured a temporary restraining order against cardiologist Peter A. McCullough, MD, MPH, a COVID-19 vaccine skeptic who allegedly continued to claim an affiliation with Baylor Scott & White Health months after he entered into a confidential separation agreement in which he agreed to stop mentioning his prior leadership and academic appointments. Baylor was the first institution to cut ties with McCullough, who has promoted the use of therapies seen as unproven for the treatment of COVID-19 and has questioned the effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines. Since the Baylor suit, the Texas A&M College of Medicine, and the Texas Christian University (TCU) and University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) School of Medicine have both removed McCullough from their faculties. https://www.mcgill.ca/oss/article/covid-19-health-pseudoscience/upside-down-doctor Dr. Joe Mercola, an osteopathic physician who has made an impressive fortune selling supplements through his online store, has a new book out about the COVID-19 pandemic. This book, as well as Mercola’s decades of peddling health misinformation on the Internet, exemplifies the dangerous blind spot of the wellness movement. Health gurus are not in the business of public health; they rise to fame by framing health as a personal choice and by selling immune boosters that have earned, they wrongfully claim, a scientific seal of approval.
  22. So you agree the net exchange rate was 21.58 as @rckrckr states, and not the 21.789 you stated?
