I recently had a very bad experience with San Antonio Hospital. I was seen in emergency for a ruptured appendix. I was taken to the operating room, sedated, and prepared for surgery. A non sterile man walked in with a clipboard and demanded $3000 US to get started. Someone went into my purse a retrieved a contaminated credit card for me to pay and helped themself to the $3500 peso I had brought with me. I spent 4 days there and before it was over I was diagnosed with a heart condition, a psychiatric condition, a blood pressure/vascular condition and pneumonia. I had none of these and have never had any of these. This ran my bill up quite a bit. I think they are running a scam there and would advise anyone to go to a public hospital. I’ve read reviews about the same type of money grabbing, insurance fraud and basic unethical conduct. Beware!
