I have 12- lids with rings I'll never use again. No rust noted. Only two were ever used and they have writing on them. The seals are still good. If $100 sounds fair, I can meet you somewhere east of Walmart most mornings.

I was under the impression we were talking about coffee cream, not bar drink "topping". I'm willing to agree it might work well for that.
-
Crema para Batir is heavy whipping cream and is unsuitable for use as "coffee cream". When it hits the hot coffee it separates and curdles.

Are Flu Shots available at Lakeside
chapalence replied to Carnivore's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
Dra.Jessica Flores has them for $750. We opted for the free jab from the Centro de Salud on Calle Flavio de Romero in Chapala. Origin? I guess you could ask to see the bottle first. -
Thanks for sharing, Tingting. I will keep it short and just share that we have given Letra Ch as many chances as we care to. On our last visit, I ordered a Mojito which I had enjoyed on a previous visit. Upon first glance I could see something was amiss, so I took just a wee sip. Bleck!! Not wanting to cause a scene, I walked to the bar, drink in hand. I quietly expressed that this was not a Mojito, but that it tasted like mouth wash. The bartender defended her mix stating that in the absence of fresh mint she had substituted cream de menthe. Oh, dear baby cheesus, no! We don't imbibe any longer, nor do we plan to revisit the sometimes alright and sometimes almost inedible food. What a shame.

MEDICARE COVERAGE OUT OF COUNTRY AVAILABLE FOR EXPATS?
chapalence replied to ezpz's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
We went to Lake Medical Group across from Superlake to ask about this as they very heavily advertise that they accept Medicare Advantage Plan coverage. I was honest and related that we are permanent residents and that my wife was considering signing up for an Advantage Plan on her 65th birthday if it would cover her here. She asked if Social Security knows where we live, and I replied that of course they do. She immediately shook her head "no" and said that only residents of the US are eligible and if they find out you live outside the US you will be canceled and you would then be responsible for any outstanding bills. My life experiences have taught me that using lies to get what I want is generally a piss-poor idea. This whole business stinks. -
Both of ours use 4-anchors on each end of the bar. Sunk into tile and concrete, they havent budged and I doubt they ever will.

MEDICARE COVERAGE OUT OF COUNTRY AVAILABLE FOR EXPATS?

I would be willing to bet that the answers from Medicare and Medicare Advantage would be different. Medicare Advantage plans, like all insurance companies are out for as much profit as they can squeeze. The more they bill Medicare for, the greater their bottom line. So, they don't probably give two shirts that Jeff's scam is being run in Mexico, but you can bet Medicare would. I have read multiple articles very recently about Medicare suing Medicare Advantage plans for fraudulent activity. It chaps my cheeks that for profit companies play with the healthcare of people who need it. -

Need personal recommendation for cardiologist

You might consider checking out doctoralia.com.mx for doctors in Guadalajara including reviews. -
Not yet. The second floor will be a restaurant when construction is completed. Yes, there is an elevator for those who can't handle stairs.

I just received one of my BP meds that I ordered through ML. Cheaper by half than buying them on a Monday from Similares. I pay using my BBVA credit card and I have never had anything remotely resembling an issue.
-
This is why I would never recommend paying by cash for purchases on ML. There is no reasonable way to facilitate refunds. Best of luck.

reason for massive cohetes in Chapala?
chapalence replied to bdmowers's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
We heard them up here in Chapala Haciendas. Maybe you have been struck deaf after 11 years, assuming you're closer to the origin than we are. -
It is in West Ajijic on the mountainside. There is a round, blue structure in front, an unused soccer field on one side, and usually a sign out front advertising used books.

I witnessed your scammer do a most impressive, although not at all believable flop right in front of Spencer's this morning. No one hopped out of their car to rush to his aid as he lay on the ground, so you know people saw it for what it was.
