  1. David AKA Eric Blair, the tianguis has been and will continue to be on Calle Gonzalez Gallo in front of Parque Cristiana until the much-needed work on Calle Obregon has been completed. FYI- Obregon runs parallel to and to the west of Calle Francisco Madero.
  2. Read Go Solar's response on this past post-
  3. I'm not crazy about jumping into this fray, but I would like to correct the misperception that work is only being done in Chapala to the exclusion of Ajijic. There has been a backlog of work needed in all the municipality's pueblos and if you look at the gobierno's fb page you will see that work has been being done not only in Chapala, but in San Nicolas, Santa Cruz, San Antonio, Ajijic, and in Atotonilquillo (completely forgotten by the last admin from the looks of it) also. As someone who frequently drives in these pueblos I will honestly state that they all needed work and continue to need work, Chapala included. The argument that Chapala gets served more tater tots than Ajijic when Ajijic taxes pay for the entire bag is simply ridiculous.

  6. Did you look for it on Mercado Libre? Amazon.MX? Those would be good options.

  8. When it comes to bugs, we trust Rene at Fumiga to take care of the problem quickly.
  9. "Informative Charquito: Given the work of the Federal Electricity Commission in Ajijic, the road on Calle ConstituciĆ³n is closed at its intersection with Galeana and Aldama. The wiring replacement is done in the area, so the work could take several hours. Until the works are finished, the area will remain without electricity." From the FB page of Noticias Semanario Laguna de Chapala
  10. Try logging in , then go to "Check Your Receipt". Since I'm already registered, when I go there it has my name and account #, but underneath it says "Add or remove Service #". That might be where you add it for the first time. Sorry, but it's been a few years since I set mine up
  11. Go to the CFE website and the first link an the left is Mi Cuenta (My Account). That takes you to the page where on the right the second item is sign-up. Go there and create your online account. Using the extension for Google Translate everything will be in English.
  12. you must add the google translate extension for auto translation. go to the three vertical dots on the far right of your tool bar & select "more tools" then extensions, add google translate.
  13. Are you using the CFE app on your cell or using a PC? If on a PC are you using Chrome as your browser so you can add the Google Translate extension for automatic translation of the page?
  14. The store on the west side of Madero in Chapala about a block or two north of the Mercado.
  15. Thanks for everyone's input. As long as there are plenty of other cars on the road, I'm good.
  16. How did it go? Did you overnight along the way? Which route did you take and where did you cross? We're two female vets who will be making the drive soon. Opinions on the current troubles in Tamaulipas and if they would be an issue we should consider?
  17. This applies to the Haciendas by my understanding. Lawyers or not, the law is NOT on the side of enforcing bylaws because of the lack ot this "concession" and they aren't free.
  18. To the OP- If you notice, the morosos all have Mexican surnames. Chillin is exactly right that "there is a feeling that the board has always sided with the newcomers, while they are expected to pay for their decisions", meaning our Mexican neighbors do not always agree with the decisions made by an all extranjero board. Personally, I'm not that crazy about some of their decisions either, however I'm not willing to get involved in running the Fracc and too proud to see my name on a list of deadbeats. The BOD and the office are doing all that is legally possible to collect from the morosos and that is as much as I expect.
  19. If you cut the top of the bottle off and invert it so that the neck of the bottle is facing down into the largest part of the bottle, you have your funnel, too.
  20. As cheap as it is, try it and discover for yourself what works best for your needs.
  21. You can read it online. Go to the top of this page and click on Chapala.com, the far left tab. You will see a link for El Ojo listed.
  22. The original post you responded to is 5 years old. Just a suggestion, but a new post is in order.
  23. I fall into that category. You couldn't pay me to put a skirt on my bed and we are fanatical about keeping bugs at bay. The sting of one scorpion or millipede can ruin your day...or night.
