One in San Antonio a little east of Oxxo. Another in RIberas near the lighting store lake side. Also one west end Ajijic
You're thinking of Fresh Market. While nice shops, they don't specialize in Costco products. Then again, Hola Market doesn't carry much in the way of produce. I like them all.

They are not.
A trip to San Diego via Tijuana is your best bet if you feel you need one.

Super happy with Telmex FIOS.
Only one very brief outage since it was installed. No buffering in one room, some occasional buffering in another.
I pay monthly online through the Telmex website. I have never had security issues.

Our house cleaner washes her family's clothes by hand for two reasons- the cost of electricity and the amount of water necessary to wash by machine vs by hand.
Our NOB ways don't always work well here. This is one of them.
A bigger stove would probably be a far more helpful gift.

We just received a 50% discount on both of our drivers license renewals using INAPAM. We use our cards for discounts at CHOPO also and a 7% discount at Walmart on medicine and medical supplies.
I have never been asked for my card at Walmart, but always get the discount.
The one time I used CHOPO (not a positive experience and discount or no, I wouldn't go back again) they didn't mention the option.
We did get discounts on our DL.

Just go to Chapala office at 69 Niños Héroes. Really the card is not good for much more than discount bus tickets and museum entrances. In Mexico City and surrounding areas there are stores that give a discount but I have not found one in this area with the exception of Estafeta, and DHL.
With bus tickets, there are a small number of discounted seats on each bus. Every time I have tried to use my Inapam card for bus tickets I have found all the discounted seats already sold.
We haven't saved enough in 6-years to justify the hassles we went through to get our cards.

For several years Chapala Tree Service has been our company of choice. unfortunately they are really busy right now & are unable to get to us for at least 3-4 weeks. Does anyone have a recommendation for others who do this work. The trees have grown quite high so we need someone who follows all safety measures. We are in Ajijic centro. Thanks for any suggestions.
3-4 weeks isn't long in the life of a tree and Chapala Tree Service is worth waiting for.
Make your appointment.

I don't think speaking English is a prerequisite for repairing a refrigerator.

At that point, I would cancel the transaction and move on.

We have most of the year to ourselves.
Not so much anymore and if the current trend based on this administration continues, the lack of infrastructure....thinking water in particular, is going to create megaproblems.

It is good forthe mountain toburnsome every year otherwise you end up with huge fires that burn everything in sight. The dry grass and underbrush needs to burn that is part of the natural cycle..It is a sad sight but it is even worse when it does not burn for several years.
Tell that to the fauna that died on the mountain.

I believe there was some discussion about iron works awhile back. I was about to go to the one by Ishop , but it was closed. Does anyone know if they went completely out of business or moved,. ?
I can't recommend them if they are in business. Dad was good, next generation is not.

Your best bet is Farmacia Mascaras in Riberas.
Ivan goes to Guadalajara regularly to get meds not always available locally.

Avoid, avoid, avoid Enrique Hernandez, AKA Chavaria Enrique, Kiki Hernandez, or others. Every time he screws another expat he changes his AKA. Short, chubby, speaks English, and is a slick snake who grossly overcharges. Doesn't pay workers, doesn't abide by the law, and has NO scrupples.

Right now, only HSBC. I may compare some others against it later, but I stopped shopping around once I found a good deal. Honestly I'm not too motivated to hunt for, what, a $1 savings somewhere else, every two weeks or so? Not worth it, and may not exist.
Can't say. The largest enumerated amount is $7,000, then "Other amount." Haven't pushed it past $10k.
On a Sunday or holiday, it might refuse $10k. I've seen $6,000 limit, all in 200s -- but it's always because the machine has run low. There are three machines.
LQ
The limit per transaction at HSBC $15,000.
I usually get that and it is almost always in all $500 notes, but occasionally they give a thousand or two in smaller bills.

I can't tell you the name, but if you turn towards the lake on the road beside Sunrise Restaurant and go down to Raman Corona, then turn right, it's a block or two down on the right hand side. It's a very small place on the corner.

We drive north frequently; prefer the San Luis Potosi route; take the west bypass (49D). We stay at the Sheraton 4 points hotel in Saltillo; nice hotel with restaurant and it is pet friendly.
Thank you for the hotel recommendation. It certainly looks like a better option than the dismal Las Palmas and it appears easy enough to get to.

Hola Market
in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
Posted
Mountainside, a short distance west of the Smokehouse restaurant and the Tuesday Market venue.
