Report Repel mice, spiders, scorpions, other insects in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara Posted February 21, 2019 Since it's the aromatic oils that seem to be doing the repelling, I'd imagine you could use peppermint essential oil. I've used it full strength on cotton balls as a repellent. Just don't get your hands near your eyes after handling it.
