I used to do permanent makeup in the US. I used two numbing agents; one before the skin was broken and another after. Neither was novocaine. Novocaine can cause swelling and then the area is difficult to work on. I know this because a client of mine had her dentist husband give her novocaine and it made her lips uneven and swollen. I couldn't work on her. I would never do it here because some of the equipment; primarily the second number which costs about $50 an ounce expires and I got paid about 4 times what I would here. I've seen some very bad work here and also, brows are always going to fade unless done with black carbon ink which looks terrible IMO. The training and licensure in my state was quite extensive. I'm not sure what it is here, but you need a person with a good artistic eye and good skills. BTW, I've also seen some good work. There are lots of reasons people choose permanent makeup. Many have alopecia, no brows from over-waxing, cancer, or just plain vanity and there's nothing wrong with that.

Dr. Carlos Cerda Albo is the worst dentist I have ever gone to. He made a new prosthetic for me which was totally worthless, and never finished because it required clips for my implants. He kept putting it off and would not show me the X-rays he took after he gave me bone implants. I got suspicious and went to Dr. Haro. He said there were no bone implants, that they needed some kind of mesh to hold the bone in and that it is the job of a specialist to do, not a dentist. I spent about $5,000 US on this dentist con.

I am looking for suggestions for a good English speaking counselor. I've searched this topic and found a recommendation, but nothing too recent. Also, I don't want to see someone with a huge case load who runs a lot of groups. Any and all suggestions are very much appreciated.
