Intermediate Apr 06 & 13 10:00 to 11:20 am When we are learning a new language we have to restructure the way we think and not try to make the words work the same way they do in our native language. There are some words that can have more than one meaning depending on the context in which they are used: this is very common in any language and there’s no reason to be afraid. What we have to do is, first of all, forget about literal translations for a moment. Then, we have to study the new phrases we are learning and recognize the functions they fulfill. In this course we will practice some verbs that have multiple meanings and functions in Spanish, and that do not necessarily translate the same way in English.
