I can never quite figure out why people post on a webboard to find out if others in their area also have no electric. All you have to do is take a walk down the block to see if anyone else's meters are moving, or are all off.

That is not how CFE works.  Our grid includes Independencia & Aquilles Serdan but not Juarez which is the next block north or Independencia east.  It is all computerized.

Friday Apr 9 we left San A at 9:10 for a location up above Mariano Otero on  Niños Heroes (hwy , Laz. Cardenas, and then another "fast" road.) that normally takes 1 hr 5-10 minutes tops. Often less.  Yes, it was a Friday (not avoidable), but the construction  back-up to get into the line, and then get around a 3-car pileup inside the line, took over two 1/2 hours  for what I usually get thru' in about 20 minutes.  SO yes.... plan for LOTS of leeway.

Saturday it took me 2 1/2 hrs from Ajijic centro to Puerto Hierro.  Good thing I gave myself an extra hr +.

It's possible you have to login to your CFE account to get to the page where you report outages.

After you login the next page has a list of items on the left side.  Go down the page and click on Avisar Fallas de Luz.  The next page has the report form, partially populated with you name, acct # and email address.  Fill in the rest, then hit Continuar at bottom of page.

    Gracias Bisbee Gal

Both the national CBC news Channel and the national CTV news network aren't working tonight. This is unusual. Anyne else have the same problem?

I looked up sunspots & auroras activity.  There have been solar storms the last few days, " a prolonged period of moderate southward directed magnetic field "    " there is a coronal hole that has moved to the center of the sun facing earth so in a few days we might see another impulsive ramp up from slow to fast solar winds"    storm G2 was happening last night.

Right now all Ch. are working fine but did not early this morning.
