I need to rent a thermal imaging camera for a day or two. Does anyone know where I can find one? The floor in one room in our house is consistently 5’-10’ F hotter than the rest of the floors. We want to find the spot on the floor that is hottest so we can drill down and hopefully find out what is going on. (and no, we’re not in the Racquet Club)

The only restriction that I see is that the CPAP must meet measurement requirements.
Thanks for the link - I couldn't find it.

We're flying on Volaris and intend to carryon our CPAP machines. Volaris doesn't allow electronic equipment to be carried on. Does anyone have experience with this? Do they require CPAPs to be checked baggage instead of carry on?

When we bought our home, we called our insurance agent to get homeowners insurance. He asked me “why?” He said that homes here, being built they way they are, don’t need insurance. I thought this is strange (especially from an insurance agent) and wanted to ask: Do you have homeowners’ insurance on your home? If so, what coverage?

Another thing to consider in costs is which hospital you go to. We self-fund our medical care and took a huge hit at Hospital San Javier a few weeks back. My wife had a single stent installed on an emergency basis. Our doctor estimated the cost to be $200,000MX. The surgeon estimated the cost to be $300,000MX. Hospital San Javier charged us $555,202MX. Our doctor and surgeon both expressed shock and worked with the hospital but that only reduced our bill to $480,000MX. My wife was in the hospital one night (she was admitted at 6pm and was discharged at 2pm the next afternoon).
Be prepared. Know in advance which hospitals you want to use. Hospital San Javier will never be on our list!

Email Paulo. He is a pharmacist that finds medications for us in Guadalajara. (He delivers and has decent prices.)

I was quoted $10,000MX to have a treadmill/stress test performed (I don't have cardiac issues, just being careful). I declined the opportunity.
Looking for recommendations for a local cardiologist to perform a treadmill/stress test (with recent cost if known).
Thanks!

Are you sure you were at ishop? There isn´t a ishop store in Ajijic, only in SAT and SJC. Maybe you were at Sol y Luna.

Correction: I was at the iShop in SAT.

I went into iShop (SAT) and tried to ship two small necklaces to my daughter in the US and was told they wouldn't get through customs. I was told stones, silver, gold and some other metals can't be shipped. Are these actual restrictions or is customs that corrupt? Any suggestions on how to get these gifts to my daughter? These aren't expensive necklaces.

Manuel Sotomayor - excellent man. Also likes multiple customers to make the trip from Zapopan.
Do you know if he speaks English?

Great. We are going to the beach in a week but could do it afterwards. Early April after Semana Santa?
We are in Ajijic, set it up for any time after 6 April and we are in. Ours is a 1906 Ivers and Pond upright grand, fully restored.
I'll do some research and let you know what I find out.

I'm happy to share a tuning visit with a tuner you all have experience with on a schedule that works for the group.
HI Mainecoons - I'd be interested in sharing a tuner if nothing has been done so far. Getting tired of hitting those off keys!

Two months ago we had our Chickering restored by Erneztto Infantte Pianos in Guad. Ernesto knows pianos and did a beautiful job. We were going to have him out in about a month to tune us up. I'd be interested in what everyone else decides to do or if you know Ernesto.

Shopping for a mattress (queen) and have seen some at Furniture 4 Less (near Sunrise) called LIMMCORT, but can find NO information on line about the brand. Also considering a “Wendy” mattress. Experience and/or opinions welcome. This is a far more complicated process than I’d imagined! Thanks.
Well I'll be damned. Was making the bed yesterday and found out our mattress was Limmcort!. Bought it from Furniture for Less. We've only had it two months so can’t comment on its quality (so far so good - we did buy a foam topper), but do recommend Furniture for Less. We had a problem with the first mattress we bought and they jumped in and quickly solved it. (Turns out most mattresses will eventually collapse if you weigh more than 250lbs.) I was really impressed with their customer service. Prices weren’t bad either.

Both of the last two posts are absolutely true as well with salt based systems.
Could the OP clarify as to what kind of water softening equipment it is please...
I know it takes salt, but other than that I don't know a thing about it.

We just bought a house in Chula Vista Norte that has a whole house water softener system. I can't figure out why you would have one. I understand they save soap and reduce water spotting but that doesn't seem to be reason enough. Can someone educate me as to the advantages before I pull it out? Thanks!

One of my refrigerator door handles broke and replacements aren't made anymore. Does anyone know of anyone who has a 3D printer who can make me a replacement?

We have just started our landscaping project with Arturo (from the garden place across from SuperLake and next to La Pacena). We've gotten a lot of good plants and advice from he and his wife (Leti) so have high expectations. Might want to check with him and see about work he's done.

Sounds like the size job Barry would do. He's great with great reviews. Check him out. He has a big pickup and a trailer that should fit all your stuff.

Our gardener got married last weekend. We wanted to acknowledge his marriage but are unsure about what would be appropriate. He has worked for us for about 6 months. What have you done if anything?
