  1. I want to add to my "100%" comment! Heidi and I both prefer a full sized, old fashioned, juicy burger and this burger was all of the above! We think it is the best. Burger we've had since we sold our restaurant!
  2. Heidi and I went today....cant wait to go back. When Niisas restaurant first opened, it was owned by a gentleman named Carlo and his chef was Chuy. After a time there was a falling out between Carlo and his partner so Carlo left. A short time later, Chuy did the same. Well, they're back! The restaurant is directly behing Farmacia Guadalajara here in Ajijic.. Their dinner meun looks incredible but we both ordered from their lunch special board. I had the Pastrami sandwich tand Heidi had the burger wich, IMO, is by far the best burger we've had here at lakeside! Big, juicy full size burger! They're open 12:00 to 8 Monday through Saturday. We also split a piece of home made lemon pie. The bill came to $420 including 2 cokes. We love it!
  3. Heidi's birthday is coming up and she's craving a good steak! Your opinions would be greatly appreciated! Rick,
  4. We've been buying bagels at Emma's since they opened. They make real water bagels that are outstanding. The other day, I ordered onion bagels (special order only), to be delivered. I ate one and was very disappointed...no flavor! I called this morning and asked about this problem. 30 minutes later the man that actually made the bagels arrived at our door to pick up the bagels. After saying I'm sorry many times, he said he may have left a certain ingredient out. About 3 hours later, he returned with a new order. These are the normal fantastic bagels they sell! I'm an old fashioned kinda guy and I sincerely believe that the number one product for any nusiness should be outstanding customer servive and, Emma's is a great example of that! By the way, fantastic Corned Beef too!
  5. I agree! Darn good food at very reasonable prices and, I think, the best customer service I've see in a very long time. We're going again Thursdaay!
  6. Pancho should stick to the grocery store...though that's not much netter!
  7. Hi Gringagal! We agree with your opinion of El Ancia or, The Anchor. Very good food with very reasonable prices. What impresses me even more is their outstanding customer service. Our favorite is the Cordon-Bleu. Excellent meal and pleanty to take home for another meal. Ya can't beat that!
  8. we tried to eat breakfast at Pancho's new restaurant west of Ajijic. First of all, an EXTREMELY limited menu with absolutely no substitutions. Heidi doesn't care for pancakes and they said they come with the breakfast and they can't change it. We both ordered eggs over easy and sausages. What we got was scrambled eggs and bacon! At this point, I paid for our coffee and we left. Thank God the Anchot next door was open...great breakfast at a great price. Needless to say, won't be returning to Pancho's!
  9. a friend told us that there was a new coffee shop on the plaza that opened at 7. Any information? Gee, I hope my spelling is correct!😁
  10. Me too! I can't believe that my typing a "k" instead of an "h" would cause such a problem! Some people have nothing better to do than look for things to complain about😍
  11. I was taught reading and spelling but sometimes even grown-ups make mistakes. Maybe I shouldn't post again, that way you can sleep better and move on to correcting someone else!
  12. Again, I'm sorry! I didn't realixe I was being graded! It must be wnderful being perfect!
  13. Damn, I did it again...left out the word sorry! Obviously old age creeping in!
  14. I'm really quite that I by accident I didn't spell brunck correctly! Does this mean that I have to go to the principal's office?
  15. Was looking forward to Sreak 'n Eggs at Bruno's today. Their brunch starts at 8:30 so, we left the house a 8:30., found a parking place on a side street a d walked back to the restaurant only to be told it would be another 10 to 15 minutes befpre they would be ready. I guess we were supposed to sit on the curb and wait. We went next door to Gosha's and had breakfast. I realize being late is in the DNA here so I can't blame the staff...it's the owner's responsibility to see that they are prepared to open on time. The solution is quite simple! If you can't make it happe at the advertised time, change the time!
  16. Does anyone locally serve Prime Rib? Anyone tried it? Opinion? Thank you!
  17. Boy, talk about "over-promise" and "under-deliver", well, this company is top of the list! Went in Monday morning at 9 with a very simple order for a banner for our shop...4 words. I was told Tuesday. Of course, Tuesday came and went with no contacr. Then was PROMISED Wednesday, then Thursday and now tomorrow! I wouldn't be upset if they said 4 or 5 days at the beginning but, making one false promises after another "p^<*×es" me off! Terrible way to do business!
  18. Todat WAS the day! All I can say about Beto's Patty Melt ix it was "fanfriggingtastic"! The combination of the rye bread, swiss cheese and sauteed onions creates like an explosion of flavors in your mouth. He's not 100% sure of when it will be available but says probably in a week or two. It was going to be a special but now, he says it will be on the menu. It will be priced, with fries, at around $150-$160!
  19. Today, i'm being forced to be Beto's "guinea pig" and try his new sandwich...a N.O.B style Pattymelt! If I survive, I'll post later about the experience. Wish me luck!
  20. Gee Ken, once again you've proved you're perfect!
  21. My finger must have been tired after eating...saw several googs in my post. Oh well, having a senior moment!
