I have had two colonoscopies at the Ajijic Hospital, and through Dr. Leon's office.  The team is also from GDL.   I appreciate the comments of those who prefer to have it done at a hospital in GDL, but it was my choice and I was happy with it.  The first one involved removal of a polyp and Dr. Leon recommended I  have another the next year, due to the size of the polyp removed, to make  sure it had not grown back.  After the second one at the same hospital  I was given a clean bill of health and am good for another five years.

I will have been here 10 years in July, and have never found an Easter lily.  I also miss hyacinths, daffodils and tulips.  However, we have the beautiful primavera tree (yellow), jacarandas (purple), followed by lluvia de oro (golden rain) trees, which I believe are the last Spring flower here.  So I am very happy with Mexico's flowers, even though I miss the ones from Canada.

We had ours installed yesterday and so far so good.

Have not read all these posts, but we had Ilox installed today and I later tried to use my Strong VPN and it doesn't seem to work.  Anyone out there that now has Ilox and a VPN that works with it?

They were in Rancho del Oro on Saturday.

Was wondering if anyone knows whether Pablo's Garage in West Ajijic is still open.  We dropped by this morning around 10:30 a.m. and it was closed.

I like  Strong VPN very much.  However, given our slow speed here in Villa Nova, 6 mpbs, when two of us are streaming at the same time, and one is on VPN as well,  it slows down everything tremendously.  Once we get fibre optics I am sure I will use VPN more.

My friend showed me some comments re  Ilox on  Facebook and they obviously do not keep their site up to date.  The comments, however,  were not favourable.  So if you can find them on Facebook, please read comments.

I believe there is a number you can use to block the messages.  As "AlongTheWay" suggested, go to Telcel Customer Service and they will be able to help.

That's what Luzma told me as well and I am going with her on the 28th of February for my license.  

My Canadian license expires in May of this year, so I must get a Mexican license.

Does anyone know of someone who provides you with the service of taking you to GDL to get the license.  I will have to bone up on the questions in the booklet that I picked up last year, but think I can handle the questions.  Hope I don't have to take the parallel parking test, as I have not tried to parallel park in years.

I pay my CFE bill using my Bancomer account and do it via my cell phone.  They have an app which makes online banking much easier.  Do the same with Telmex.  No problems yet and have been doing for several months now.  Before I used my Bancomer account via my laptop.

Bisbee Gal - I am glad you had better luck than I had.  I have ordered all sorts of minor things from them and never had a problem, however, there was never need to return anything.

I ordered an air cooler early in the new year.  When I started to have problems with it and let them know by email, never had a response from them.  Emailed again and the same thing.  So I would not buy any large or expensive items from them in the future that might require a return, so I would be leary about ordering an iphone.  I would go to BestBuy in GDL and get their 2-year additional guarantee.  Have done this in the past and never had a problem with anything that went wrong with a particular item bought there.  They always gave good service and replaced with a new item if they could not fix.

Go on to Facebook if you are a current and try Beg, Buy, Barter & Sell, Mexpat Chapala, Gringos Ajijic and there may be other sites.  Have seen a lot of people looking for service and offer to share their service.  I have heard the suggested provider is expensive.
