Has anyone had experience with the opthalmologist Dr. Juan Antonio Hernandez Castro in Chapala or with the Alta Retina Clinica Oftalmologica in Riberas?  Could you tell what your experience was? I am thinking of seeing one of these places.  Thank you.  The more well-known ones are quite busy.

call dra claudia Camachos office and tell them it is urgent. they can give you an earlier appointment I guess... as "emergency"

  2. I just did the renewal:

    process is really easy.

fill out form online. pay fee.

Send per Fedex the old passport with documents to consulate in Guadalajara (including Fedex pre paid shipment for the way back to you.

I received my new passport within 2 weeks.

I installed a "mesh" type WiFi system in a 5,000 sq ft house with thick walls in Vista del Lago. It now covers every place in the compound. I recommend it for those serious about coverage. Easy to install and completely automatic in operation.

Remember that WiFi will only deliver what the modem puts out and will not make much speed difference for slow internet service.

I also have this one - works great, easy to install.

I heard they are not charging tolls to cars now, only trucks, at that last toll booth outside of Cuyatlan.  Is that correct?

What were tolls on your last trip?  I want to put some money on my Portatil.

    I

324 pesos one way. no toll on last toll booth. I went 2 weeks ago.

I read this as 'while in Mexico airport'. Maybe I did because an earlier post from someone who flew into Chicago talked about masks being mandatory on the airplane and there, and that O'Hare was basically deserted.... only 1 Burger King open....and required temp checks and about 5 stops within to answer questionnaire about Covid before they could get out of the airport.

That does NOT sound like everyone NOB is taking it lightly. Only some, one of which I will not identify here for obvious reasons.

of course there is mandatory facemark and temperature measurments. that is normal in these times, but traveling itself is no problem. Not as going to Europe where mandatory covidtests are asked for etc.
