  5. Third Rec. for Mike Computer Guy. Can be reached @ 766 4156. Wishing you all the best!
  6. It has come to our attention that a recently terminated waiter has been contacting clients of the restaurant and LYING about how clients tips are distributed. He is claiming that Management is keeping all your tips. This is FALSE! All tips are paid to only employees in total, ie 100%. This waiter was terminated for cause, and it was only after he was terminated that he started spreading his false accusations.
  7. You can choose your choice of "condiments" by simply telling your waiter what you want. Rick told me personally that one of his secrets for his burger is how the meat is prepared by the butcher and this is exactly how the meat for this burger is prepared.
  8. Checked with Alejandro re condiment bar, Rick informed Alejandro that he cancelled his condiment bar because patrons were using it as a salad bar by taking sufficient amounts of lettuce, tomato etc. to make a side salad.
  9. Just checked with Alejandro and if one does not want fries then they can substitute a green salad.
  10. After reading the comments from yesterday I went to Casa Linda and spoke with Alejandro and here is what is happening. They are not yet ready to offer this burger and Rick will be coming back this Monday Oct. 22nd. to provide training for the staff, they want it to be just as you remember and it to be the best Burger Lakeside. Rick's burger will then be available Thursday Oct. 25th as a SPECIAL from 12 noon to 4:00 PM daily at the bargain price of only $95 pesos. I am looking forward as Rick and Heidi had the best Burger lakeside and if not the best then I can't remember ever eating a better burger as good anywhere. Many thanks to Rick for his kindness in assisting Alejandro. Looking forward to some great mouth watering memories .
  11. Buenos Dias: After reading the comments this morning I went over to the restaurant and have spoken with Alejandro. They have not yet completed all the prep necessary to offer Rick's Burgers. Rick will be returning Monday to work with them on his Burger. They will start offering the burger Thursday Oct. 25th. and everyday thereafter from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM. daily as a lunch Special at the Special Price of $95 pesos. They want it to be just like you remember Rick's fantastic burger and the price is a bargain. Enjoy and looking forward to great memories!

  13. Casa Linda will be open all Easter weekend. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Hours Fri.-Sat 8:30 am - 10:00 pm Sun- Mon 8:30 am -9:00 pm.
  14. Last Friday was the first time in almost 4 years that the restaurant was completely full, meaning outside seating all main dining area and the VIP area, as well we had one group of 32 guests that,we were grateful for, that we're all seated together, not allowing the normal spacing that occurs under normal circumstances reducing the volume. Even when we have had events such as Galen and others we have never had the volume we had this past Saturday imcluding News Years Eve and others which are sell outs. We will be looking for solutions and thank one and all for their support and understanding. Alejandro has added additional wait staff to help as well.
  15. All our deserts are made by our staff, and the cheesecake is one of my favorites.
  16. The change is we have taken on a new partner, who was formerly the capitan at Ajijic Tango and his family that had the breakfast restaurant next to La Huerta. Alejandro was employed by us and we recognized that he had the experience and family connections to relieve us and add breakfast, staffing and training for the restaurant. This will also provide us with the opportunity to exit to full retirement in the next couple of years. Our menu and chef are the same with some additions to the dinner menu and a complete new extensive 89 peso lunch menu and of course a new breakfast menu. New days of operation open everyday except Tuesday @ 8:30 am -9:00pm 10:00 pm Friday and Saturday.
  17. Darn! How could I forget this one "the harder you work the luckier you get" Oh well " at my age memory is the second thing to go"!
  18. I was raised by a Scottish father that believed that what ever you wanted you needed to earn it. I wanted a balloon tire bike and asked him to get me one, his answer was you want a bike "get a job"! So he taught me how to look for a job and I got a job working everyday after school and all day Saturdays working for Donaldson drug Store for $3 per week. Was never out of work again in my life! He had many sayings and used them always to make his points ie " no job is as hard as the thought of it" "you have to work hard first and then the money comes" "the only time success comes before work is in the dictionary" and on and on. He also believed what the Americans were doing ie that they drafted young men and made them serve 2 yrs to him that was male finishing school since we had no draft in Canada and after the money ran out and I could not afford to go to university for my 3rd yr. He had me join the RCMP as they had in his opinion the toughest and longest training of any of Canada's forces. I loved and respected my father and I truly believe that those of us lucky enough to be born and raised in the 30s 40s and 50s have lived in the best times ever before or in the future of this world
