  1. Mexico is a huge silver producer. I have sent you a Private Message with where to purchase in Chapala.
  2. Thank you for that. What you wrote is exactly how I have typically seen things done.
  3. Yes, of course. That's common sense.
  4. Yes and I do agree with that. The medical profession is mostly symptom management and not curing.
  5. I have fed my cats the raw diet for many years and they have always been well, then my spouse died and I stopped making this food as it was a bit of work for me to do by myself and I had so much responsibility with a sick person. The result is several months later one of my cats developed some serious problems and was not absorbing nutrients, losing weight etc. I went back to making the raw food and is he now back to his normal weight and well again. I make a large amount, and freeze in small plastic containers, thaw as needed. The commercial food for cats is terrible stuff. These cats are carnivores and by feeding them commercial food (especially dry), we feed them totally inappropriate food for their species. We need to give animals the closest thing to what they would eat in the wild. Same for dogs.
  6. Well I can be wrong. That was just the experience I had when my spouse was ill.
  7. There are several psychologists in the lake area, however, I don't think any of them are ADHD experts. Psychiatrists are typically used for medication only.
  8. Adult. Specifically looking for counseling/psychologist.
  9. Does anyone have a source or referral for a specialist for treatment of ADHD?
  10. The information with respect to the link indicates they are authorized in every state.
  11. I think it's all too expensive. I would also go to Dr. Camacho. She has great references from anyone that has used her services. I have also been to her for eye exams. I agree that you can get someone else to drive you to Guad for much less. I do realize that if the driver must wait for you, then you pay more for that waiting time. You can just get an Uber on the way back without having someone wait. I used to take my spouse to Guad for treatment twice a week and never paid that amount.
  12. Governments are lousy with money! That whole way of thinking about them collecting and disbursing is totally a communist method. I earned my money and I get to decide to whom it should go and how I wish to spend it.
  13. We have things to donate. Any suggestions on where to do so?
  14. I totally agree. Some people just compare what is cheap to them or "back home". It's a ridiculous comparison. The affordability is why many of us are here to begin with. If we make all the prices shoot up, it makes it harder to afford.
  15. For me, I have found the perfect solution. I had no US residential address. I researched and chose this service: www.travelingmailbox.com This is what I like about it: 1. It provides me with a US address. 2. The price is very reasonable. 3. When each piece of mail arrives, I am notified via e-mail. I enlarge the view to see who the sender is. I then decide what I want done with it and select that from a simple drop down menu. This allows me to have mail that does not interest me to be shredded and deleted at no cost. I instruct which items are to be opened and scanned. That's all done from that drop down menu. I get a notification once scanning is complete. It is usually within just a few hours. I then view it and print only the pages I actually want on my printer. Occasionally, someone might send me a refund check or something similar. I then select Deposit from the menu and they make that deposit for me. I can see its status easily. 4. I very seldom have items forwarded as I print whatever is necessary. There is a small extra charge for forwarding items. I can accumulate several items to be sent in one mailing. I have a friend who is frequently in the US and I have her bring me those items. I do this to avoid getting anything sent here and that way, it costs me nothing extra. 5. I am happy with the customer service (I am usually quite critical of most customer services) which is always available through chat on their site, should I have a question.
  16. That's certainly an option. However, we have found someone to cook for us and we are trying to figure out how to pair her fairly.
  17. What is the typical pay for someone who will cook meals for you at home?
  18. I just looked up the drive time, etc. from Chapala to Cuidad Victoria and it's eight hours with no stops. I think it would be good to have an overnight stay closer to the halfway point, which is at about 5-6 hours from Chapala. Anyone have other recommendations?
  19. Rick: Thank you for your response. He did get Mexican Insurance, so when we go through Pharr then we just show what documents and to whom? I haven't crossed the border via auto in quite some time
  20. My driver did get Mexican auto insurance and he is the owner of the vehicle.
  21. I do know that. I like to make sure there is no misunderstanding.
  22. To be sure I understand, when you say the trip up, do you mean from Mexico border to Texas, then Tangamanda Park in SLP for the way back into Mexico?
  23. Need some recommendations on a place to stay overnight. 1, My spouse will be driving from Chapala to Reynosa and he will need a safe place to spend the night along the way. What are good places to stop and stay? 2. On the way back to Chapala., we will have a car full of things, so we will also need a good place to stay after crossing Pharr heading back to Chapala. Need a place where the car will have some secured parking overnight.
