  1. No, product was a known product nothing only Walmart sells. It was a rip-off
  2. When we became dual citizen they told us Mexico looks the other way as there are many different dual citizens. The important thing is in Mexico you are a Mexican citizen and cannot go to any other consulate for help. You can claim any other citizenship outside of Mexico. You do not have to renounce any other citizenship
  3. Many years ago we bought something at Walmart for 8 pesos and 23 pesos for a different item. He was charging 80 pesos and 100 pesos. I brought it to his attention thinking someone keyed in the wrong price even a little higher would make sense but no that was the price. We have not shopped there for years I do not find any reason to shop there
  4. All brands of mattresses are available here. We had a Sterns and Foster up north and bought one down here. You need to shop around for very good furniture etc needed.

    Adelitas

We were there and they were fabulous not dry or anything. Had to take part of it home
  6. Just bring your necessary items and electronics. We have seen too many people bring down their furniture then regret it. The cost involved is not worth it. Buy your furniture here. Lots of choices. The decision is yours after all.
  7. This is to ease the congestion of cars leaving the malecón…
  8. It is about time. I know a House near me that was sold twice my the same lady who was not a real estate agent but said she knew what to do and charged them 7 % fee Alt of people know this lady. The people buying were new to the area and realized it later. The house still has problems it should be regulated
  9. We did this in 2014. It was easy then but if you follow what is needed you can do it yourself. also 50 % discount on water bill I am not sure of the discount on property tax. All you need is your INE card remember you will be a mexican in Mexico and American or Canadian up north. When going north you need both passports back then once we had everything needed we just went to SRE in Guadalajara and they submitted the paperwork to Mexico city notified us when it was ready. being a citizen makes it easier for banking and many things Glad we did it.
  10. A friend got a quote from SS auto then went to a dealer in Guadalajara Price quite different when asked about it they said they give the discount to SS from experience you can get a good price, free insurance and lots of free things. They do give discount We know. prices do vary. If someone tells you, that is the price either talk to someone else or go to another dealer. We did and were pleasantly surprised
  11. There is negotiation possible. They will drop the msrp price
  12. Car dealers have competitive prices. You can get a very good price with lots of options all you have to do is shop around. Very easy to deal with and of course they deliver your car to your home. All paperwork done for you. If we ever need another new car Guadalajara is the place to go. They even threw in one year of insurance full coverage. Also watch the conversion rate as it can be to your advantage.
  13. Does anyone have the current number for Javier or someone else at Los Altos
  14. But driving in Guadalajara is another issue. 500 pesos is a small price to pay to get the inspection. I surely do not want just to drive in this area.
  15. The tiengas certainly has gringo prices. The gringos usually pay posted prices, mexicans get a lower price I know this as a fact.
  16. Lots of people were having similar problems some years back. We then decided to open an account at a local bank and either transfer money down here or write a check and deposit it. Then always go inside the bank and get your money from a teller. Life can be simple
  17. Easier to drive on Saturday and stop midway then drive to border on Sunday. Usually less traffic crossing the border on Sunday morning.
  18. As I drove by Chula Vista Norte this morning I noticed that the vivero directly across the street was unloading sod
