ABBOTT AND COSTELLO’S ‘WHO’S ON FIRST’ ……updated version. Bud: ‘You can’t come in here!’ Lou: ‘Why not?’ Bud: ‘Well because you’re unvaccinated.’ Lou: ‘But I’m not sick.’ Bud: ‘It doesn’t matter.’ Lou: ‘Well, why does that guy get to go in?’ Bud: ‘Because he’s vaccinated.’ Lou: ‘But he’s sick!’ Bud: ‘It’s alright. Everyone in here is vaccinated.’ Lou: ‘Wait a minute. Are you saying everyone in there is vaccinated?’ Bud: ‘Yes.’ Lou: ‘So then why can’t I go in there if everyone is vaccinated?’ Bud: ‘Because you’ll make them sick.’ Lou: ‘How will I make them sick if I’m NOT sick and they’re vaccinated.’ Bud: ‘Because you’re unvaccinated.’ Lou: ‘But they’re vaccinated.’ Bud: ‘But they can still get sick.’ Lou: ‘So what the heck does the vaccine do?’ Bud: ‘It vaccinates.’ Lou: ‘So vaccinated people can’t spread covid?’ Bud: ‘Oh no. They can spread covid just as easily as an unvaccinated person.’ Lou: ‘I don’t even know what I’m saying anymore. Look. I’m not sick. Bud: ‘Ok.’ Lou: ‘And the guy you let in IS sick.’ Bud: ‘That’s right.’ Lou: ‘And everybody in there can still get sick even though they’re vaccinated.’ Bud: ‘Certainly.’ Lou: ‘So why can’t I go in again?’ Bud: ‘Because you’re unvaccinated.’ Lou: ‘I’m not asking who’s vaccinated or not!’ Bud: ‘I’m just telling you how it is.’ Lou: ‘Nevermind. I’ll just put on my mask.’ Bud: ‘That’s fine.’ Lou: ‘Now I can go in?’ Bud: ‘Absolutely not?’ Lou: ‘But I have a mask!’ Bud: ‘Doesn’t matter.’ Lou: ‘I was able to come in here yesterday with a mask.’ Bud: ‘I know.’ Lou: So why can’t I come in here today with a mask? ….If you say ‘because I’m unvaccinated’ again, I’ll break your arm.’ Bud: ‘Take it easy buddy.’ Lou: ‘So the mask is no good anymore.’ Bud: ‘No, it’s still good.’ Lou: ‘But I can’t come in?’ Bud: ‘Correct.’ Lou: ‘Why not?’ Bud: ‘Because you’re unvaccinated.’ Lou: ‘But the mask prevents the germs from getting out.’ Bud: ‘Yes, but people can still catch your germs.’ Lou: ‘But they’re all vaccinated.’ Bud: ‘Yes, but they can still get sick.’ Lou: ‘But I’m not sick!!’ Bud: ‘You can still get them sick.’ Lou: ‘So then masks don’t work!’ Bud: ‘Masks work quite well.’ Lou: ‘So how in the heck can I get vaccinated people sick if I’m not sick and masks work?’ Bud: ‘Third base.’

Anyone can contact the Admin. if desired.

Agree, bmh, the guy deserved much better than what was posted. They completely destroyed his plea for help. Sad. Hopefully, he found help and is getting better.

I have bought Generic from Farm GDL that were actually cheaper than Dr. Simi's. Not all, but several.

Maybe the clerk is taking their cut off the top, because you are an extranjero and are too trusting to notice the difference. Lots of extranjeros get scammed because they never pay attention. 1001 reasons.

People who don't want the vaccine aren't "refusing" it. You don't say a person is "refusing" to take anti depressants. Or "refusing" to get married. You can DECLINE without "refusing". You decide what's best for you. "Refuse" is a manipulative term, loaded with Unfair Moral Pressure.

The FDA calls them "unapproved medical vaccines" and has given them Emergency Authorization because of actions by the Secy of State. When and if they become approved by the regular process, the "unapproved" status will be removed to "approved". That has not happened and possibly could never happen.

Exactly.

https://mexiconewsdaily.com/news/coronavirus/daily-covid-infections-far-higher-than-official-counts-says-specialist/?utm_source=The+Whole+Enchilada&utm_campaign=a885711914-RSS_EMAIL_CAMPAIGN+The+Whole+Enchilada&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_f17425060f-a885711914-350176874 While health authorities are saying that Covid-19 is currently infecting some 20,000 people a day, the actual number is 25 or 30 times higher, according to an infectious disease specialist. But Dr. Alejandro Macías of the University of Guanajuato offered the less than consoling observation that the pace of infection cannot keep up — because the disease would run out of recipients within two months. However, he also told a Covid-19 discussion panel that he expects a sudden drop in new cases will occur by September after a peak in August.“It’s a tough situation, there’s a lot of sickness. This is a steep incline that I hope will arrive at its peak in August so as to begin to decline at the end of the month or in September,” Macías told a virtual Covid discussion hosted by the Tec de Monterrey university. He estimated that half a million Mexicans are being infected daily. Dr. Alejandro Macías discounted concerns about the Cansino vaccine. A fellow panelist said that despite the pronounced growth in case numbers, Mexico’s situation can be compared with what happened in India and the U.K., where there was an abrupt and rapid decline in new cases. “If we behave ourselves during two or three weeks we can arrive at the point where there is a rapid descent,” said Dr. Francisco Moreno, head of the Covid department at the ABC Medical Center in Mexico City. And that, Macías said, means slowing the spread of the virus by avoiding crowds and enclosed spaces and wearing face masks, considering the highly contagious delta variant that is at the forefront of the new infections. “This could take a turn for the worse if we don’t understand right away that it’s not just about being vaccinated,” Moreno said. “It’s about looking after yourself with basic measures.”

The truth is always like that to some. Skip on bye, Whip !

Glad she is doing well. Seems the Pfizer did exactly what they said it would do, which is: it may not prevent you from getting the virus but will make the virus less likely to cause you major problems( unless you are in the 5% that it will not help.). We often forget that at least 5% of those who get the shots can still get a severe case of the virus, if they catch it. So, it is difficult for me to understand the "break through" infection, as we already knew about 5% would still get covid (some severe) and the rest could get a less than severe case. Doesn't seem to be any "break through" here, as all was known beforehand.

HELP! Please help save my life.... UNGENT.
Jim Bowie replied to AngusMactavish's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
Very few really care what happens to him. If they did, the posts would not be like they are, and certainly they would only be things that would benefit him directly. Sad. -
Perfect example. Thank you Whip !

One thing a lot of people here seem to forget is that they are simply wasting their time trying to change the opinion of other posters on this Board. Actually, I believe all posters here are aware of that and simply attack others with different beliefs because they have nothing else of importance to do with the last days of their lives. Sad, no?

Today's exchange rate is 19.798, NOT 19.852, so when you do your calculation, you get that. All good there. The bank did not mistreat you. I believe the problem was that when you computed the Visa Exchange rate from the Visa Currency Converter, you got yesterdays rate, because you probably did it in the morning BEFORE they changed to today. Actually, if you had gone to the banks earlier (before they changed to today's rate) you would then have received the 19.852. All ok. Thanks for sharing and Buena Suerte !

Something is wrong with that rate you got. I ALWAYS get the same rate as either Visa or MC, EVERY time I withdraw from an ATM, no matter which one I use. Either you miscalculated, or the atm charged you more than they should have. You should have gotten 19.852, if that was today's Visa rate. Might want to check that out. (Remember, to check the rate, you take the total amount of pesos you received + the peso charge, and divide that by the dollar charge to your Schwab account. That should ALWAYS give you the exact daily Visa rate.
