  1. I forget the word for pegboard but staff at Home Depot and another couple of places had never heard of “pegboard”. Hopefully someone reading this knows the word. And it’s not triply as one carpenter told me.
  2. Bob was an institution with his book Streets of Glass and his having the first smart car to challenge the local baches.
  3. Is there a record of what you paid for the house and what you sold it for? I ask because property sales are recorded in pesos not USD. With a volatile peso to usd relation it seems you could be ok in usd but face a gain in the peso. If that’s the case it seems you would really need the us tax attorney and a mxn tax attorney as well. Interesting subject to me.
  4. Posted comments suggest Riberas del Pilar plagued with water problems. Such as sand in the well servicing Riberas, sulphur smell, service frequently shut down for repair, high water table causing back up of sewage and standing gray water. Are all areas affected? What locations are or are not? Thanks
  5. I am surprised you felt compelled to justify your actions at all. Some people are just plain stupid why would you want to engage them in conversation? Nice of you to do so tho.
  6. Go Solar, thanks. Are the old 60 cells, which I believe I have, readily available anymore?
  7. Solar panels are getting less expensive BUT they are also changing in design and adaptability. I put in panels in 2014. One blew in Jan 2022. Impossible to replace with same model and solar installer says new panels not interchangeable. So, when crunching numbers, it might be worthwhile to consider replacement cost with a 5 year life expectancy.
  8. In addition to having to show INAPAM card is it not a necessary requirement to be a citizen and show INE card as well? I know in the past the 50% discount was denied as we were not then citizens.
  9. As to legality of owners iscats is correct. As to legality of weapon - anything used as a weapon is a weapon wether or not so designed so it allcomes down to use of force. If the force u use is considered excessive by a court are headed for trouble. Most teachers of weaponry would advise your first statement to police to be “i was in fear for my life”. while I love a baseball bat as a weapon it can be a little heavy and unwieldy for some. I keep an almost meter of 1 1/2 “ bamboo. If u chose that Id suggest picking up a book on arnis or escrima and practicing with it ona regular basis. If you think a gun best Id use a shotgun, less likely to miss. i have seen people, or heard thereof, spray themselves with hornet spray or pepper spray. People not trained tend not to be able to use weapons effectively in a stressful emergency such as a home invasion. Bottom line is there are no absolute clear cut answers in my opinion.
  10. Anyone have the name and email for the new manager at Actinver. I’m not lakeside so can’t just pop over. Thanks
  11. I too had a bad experience with a staff member and would not recommend that individual.
  12. If it’s available on mercadolibre it can be delivered to your door.
  13. Firoz, go to Funda Sobaquera Táctica Con Portacargador Pistola 9mm Oculta in Mercadolibre. The seller has a couple of different holsters for under arm. I have heard some say that some models have been known to discharge from underarm and have gone to belt clips.
  14. I see a lot of people saying ‘legally a fracc can do this and not that’ but has anyone an actually know where one finds the law, from which authority to do this and not that, exists?
  15. I have searched here for information posted about memberships in fraccionamientos not being compulsory. To no avail. Is there a law, and where can I find it, municipal, state or federal relevant to membership. Thanks
  16. To solve the immediate problem take your old bill to cfe and at the machine where you can pay it will scan it and tell you current amount due. Or, talk to someone there in person, maybe best for long term
  17. Total Body Care used to, as in maybe still does, have an acupuncturist come in. I believe he studied in China
  18. I would think it depends on how tinaco was hooked up to the system. I have had them where water into ajibe then to tinaco and exit from there. Reason was to gravity feed in advent of power outage.
  19. 17 years ago it was a wonderful and quiet little cultural paradise. 2 years ago it became intolerable to drive in the traffic. Moved.
  20. I did as mostly lost suggested but paid in cash at oxxo. Results all positive.
  21. From mexexperience...... “If you are driving into Mexico (or currently in Mexico) with a foreign-plated vehiclewith a TIP (Temporary Import Permit) we understand that Banjercito —the Agency that administers the permits— is not giving any extensions to TIP expiry dates due to Covid. If you fail to drive your vehicle out of Mexico before the TIP expires, the vehicle will become illegal in Mexico (this affects the validity of you your auto insurance) and you will lose your deposit. A TIP’s validity is usually tied to the expiry date of a Visitor Permit (FMM) or a Residente Temporal permit.”
  22. Ortho Fire Ant Killer handles leaf cutters. Going thru the same problem. Wiped out most of the mounds but still some refusing to die. Actually these are granules you apply then drench with water which soaks in and, hopefully, eradicates the Queen. Mercadolibre.
  23. No longer lakeside. If you were in town you’d go to Kitchen Harmony and ask for contact info. (Little strip mall south side of Carreterra just west of Walmart). Alternatively google might yield contact info for kitchen harmony.
