  1. some of those pictures are very old Pedro :)                                      But keep on posting funny pictures :)

    .                                   ,                 :) ,                                                                                               :)

  2. If you average over 3000 KW hours during your 12-month period, you go on DAC. To get off DAC, you have to ensure that you do not reach that 3000 mark during your 12-month period. I think each client has a different 12-month period based upon when he first opened his account. I might be wrong about that.

I just know that I left DAC soon after I put in solar panels and have found them to be a great investment

  3. I heard that too, but only if we did not drive to and/or through Guadalajara where they enforced these rules. All I know is that my 2013 Honda CRV only has 26,000 Km on it because I never leave lakeside in my car. At least not yet :) For me, a long drive is when I go from Ajijic all the way to Mom's Delli or Panchos in West Chapala for lunch or to shop.

  4. Thank you all for your great efforts to help the wonderful dog, to heal him and to return him to his owner.  Things could have been much worse, had you all not stepped in to help. AGAIN great job :)

    .                                                                                   .                   . :)

  5. Well. I got my flu shot. And the Doc said I didn't need another Covid Booster, because I just got over a mild case of Covid about 10 days ago. And by the way, if you have had all of your Covid shots as I had, being sick with Covid wasn't that bad, at least not with this old man.

  6. I just got a call from my Seattle Dr.'s office, which is 4 or 5 blocks away, and I shall be walking over this afternoon to get my shot today. So it looks like my problem has been solved. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and private messages with suggestions.

  7. I'm up here in Seattle for my annual early fall visit and will be coming back soon. I just checked my local drugstore to see when they had room to schedule me for a flu shot and the soonest vacancy was almost three weeks away. Are flu shots readily available down there? Thanks in advance for any help.

  8. Maybe I am missing something. But I get the same channels from Vancouver and Seattle up here in the north from Shaw that I do when I am in Mexico. Yes my system was installed quite a few years ago on both Vancouver Island and in Mexico, but I get all I need and it is many many channels including East and West coast feeds of the US networks.

Nicest of all for me is that the US west coast feeds come from Seattle. Now the east coast ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, and FOX feeds come from Detroit, Michigan and Rochester, NY

I also get a lot of other US channels like CNN, FOX, MSNBC on Shaw,   I could go on and on like adding BBC, etc to the list. There are so many many channels available from both the US and Canada available on Shaw in Mexico, that I don't need to do any streaming, other than for fun.

Some folks from the US are using much larger satellite dishes and are picking up DISH Network. and of course, there is streaming when you want even more options

  9. The cost of putting up a slightly larger dish is very economical in Mexico, And Remember, fast internet lakeside is not always available in every neighborhood, I'm lucky, I have 45 Mb/sec down by 10 Mb/sec up where I live.

I wish you the best on whatever you decide to do. Oh, and the 600 receiver is popular lakeside.

  10. When it comes to Telmex, it all depends upon where you live and the quality of the wiring between you and Telmex. I live very close to the Ajijic Telmex on the mountain side of town, and I have excellent internet service. I pay $499 per month and am getting 50 Mb/sec down by 10 up most of the time. Yet I know folks who live on side streets where the wiring is not that good who are getting less than a third of that.

It all depends upon where you live and the quality of the telephone lines between you and the Internet Service provider or ISP

I would recommend that you check with your neighbors when choosing a new internet option before trying it yourself

  11. As I posted on this board, I flew from GDL to Seattle on Saturday, and the AA ticket agent wouldn't give me my ticket until I filled out and completed as much as I could on the IMM or INM card or whatever it is called. Now will I need the upper part of the card which they gave back to me to use when returning? I don't know.

  12. I left GDL yesterday, Sep 20th for Seattle, and was required to have the form and get it stamped by the immigration guy in that office who also looked at my green card (Immigration Permanente card). This is all so weird. I wonder if when I return, I will be told this form is no longer required.

All I know is that at the ticket agent who took my bag wouldn't give me my tickets until I had properly filled out my IMM form, and they took the bottom part and gave me the top half to use when returning. And again, that was yesterday.

  13. Shaw gives me my Seattle ABC, CBS, NBC, & PBS stations. Also, the same from Detroit. And FOX, CNN, MSNBC, and a few more channels that I don't remember. However, once the satellite dies that carries these channels, it will not be replaced. What's the expected life expectancy? Maybe 5 to 10 years, or maybe a week. No one knows.
